Welcome to Pirate-Community!

Pirate-Community is the regroupment of excellent Rayman websites as well as a great community using a phpBB3 board with extra features.

Friday, September 4th 2009: Pirate-Community was successfully transferred to its new server, which should be much faster than the previous one, and allow us to plan a new record day soon. Please visit this topic to help us choose a new date.

Saturday, August 8th 2009: Hello all, Today, we celebrate the sixth birthday of Pirate-Community. Not only has our community survived during the last six years, it has also grown up and improved uninterruptedly, despite the absence of a new Rayman game since its creation. Most of you may not have been here since the beginning, but you all belong to the history of PC, for you are the ones without whom it would never have existed. Even though record day was postponed, 98065 messages have been posted this year, which is 9544 more posts than last year, resulting in a total of 398644 messages. But it's not the number of messages that makes the greatness of a forum, it's the members themselves, and from this point of view, I can without a doubt assert that we are a great community.

Saturday, July 18th 2009: Due to an unavoidable technical incident, the record day is cancelled and postponed to August. Unfortunately, our current server proved unable to put up with the amount of requests caused by the high activity of record day, and froze after ten minutes of slow performance, despite our efforts to avoid such a situation, which led to reducing the processor use by 60%. The significant size of our database is responsible for this saturation and a server change will be discussed in the following days to solve this problem.
We apologise for the inconvenience and promise you the next record day will go smoothly.

Tuesday, June 30th 2009: We invite you to visit the Rayman: The Fan Series blog, created by Abhinav, who has been creating videos and interactive games based on Rayman's world since 2003.

Wednesday, February 25th 2007: Hello all,
Today, Pirate-Community is proud to announce the release of the new Rayman 3 Hall of Fame. It's been several years since the original ranking was discontinued, and it was impossible to tell cheaters and high-level players apart. But now, thanks to our collaboration with UbiSoft, we have an authentic Hall of Fame, protected from cheaters by a group of moderators.
In case you don't know how to use it, it's very simple: on finishing the game, you are provided with a unique key code which you should enter on this page.
Have fun!

Thursday, December 25th: Pirate-Community wishes you a merry Christmas and invites you to pay attention to oysters, they're vicious!

Friday, August 15th 2008: Hi all, As you probably don't know, the Pirate-Community has some problems with disk space on its current server : we don't have enough space to grow up. That's why we have decided to migrate the PC on a new server, a private server, powerful, fast, and with a larger storage area. The migration will take place on Monday, 8H A.M. GMT, all the services should be installed on the new server before 11H A.M. GMT.

Friday, August 8th 2008: Hey all!
Today is the fifth birthday of our great community. Five years ago exactly, I decided to create a nice place for Rayman fans ; now, I'm more than happy to post on the largest Rayman community. It's with great pleasure that I remember this half-decade spent with you, whether you've been here since the beginning of for one day.
The Pirate-Community adventure is not going to stop. Despite the weariness and the never-ending waiting of a fourth Rayman game, each day reinforces the position of our website, which is now by far the most active and convivial Rayman community. The great success of this year is doubtlessly RayWiki, which, after several months of existence, is becoming a reference for everything that concerns Rayman's universe, like RayTunes for music.
This is why I'd like to thank you again, all of you, without whom Pirate-Community would not be what it is now, and particularly the moderating team, who helped me to manage this small world.
This year, 88521 messages were posted, thus a rise of 20604 messages, partly thanks to the posts in a day record, during which it rose by 14120. By a funny coincidence, we reached 300000 messages during PC's birthday : I'm then posting the 300579th message of the largest Rayman community, hoping that I will celebrate many other birthdays like that!
LONG LIVE PIRATE-COMMUNITY!

It might be advisory that you ask another question after like, a week, else it gives off the impression you don't give a damn.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Yes, I've always been pretty sure a new maximum was available in TTOTL. Are you going to go for it? I'm guessing you'll be aiming for at least 60,000 after part one, which seems like a reasonable target considering its difficulty. I've never really studied part 2 though because I never took the new maximum score seriously enough to give it a shot myself... but I do remember the Hoodstormer combo at the top of the large Knaaren structure was devilishly difficult... and on top of that, you've got Lum conversions to consider. Good luck if you're going for it!

By the way, the large combo in the third part isn't that challenging. Sure it takes a bit of figuring out exactly where the aircrafts will pop up and when to fire the shots, but once you've mastered that the whole thing's pretty straightforward. I think I achieved it (or came very close to it) when I played TTOTL, and I remember it was this success that enabled me to reach the 'old' maximum. :)

En plus, 12 ans, c'est pile l'âge auquel il les aime ! Tu vas prendre cher, comme on dit.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
From that crappy Rayman Wikia place:

In Rayman Arena he acts as a newsfrog and goes into the characters' training rooms with a camera, revealing the basic summary of the pending competition. However, for doing this, someone in the training room will dash to the door and shut it before Murfy can leave, and we can hear from outside the door Murfy being beaten to death, screaming not to rip out his wings or his eyes. Before the clip is over, we can see R.I.P. at the bottom of the screen. He is referred to as J.M. Murphy.

I guess I must have skimmed it and assumed that the RIP message appeared on a tombstone for some reason.

Edit: It's true. Yo just need to look closely...

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Can indeedy do, a few peeps here posted videos that I think can easily be found on youtube [albeit in shitty digital camera quality]

Where the JM Murphy part comes from though I have no idea.
