I've learned to relax at that point instead of frantically trying to get them all. It actually improves your chances of success significantly. Bit like the erasers and pencils in Pencil Pentathlon 3!
Red Lum chains are annoying all right. There's no lasting gratification for getting them all. I used to think that they should reward you with a Yellow Lum or something. Nowadays, the concept of Achievements/Trophies would probably be helpful in that regard!
Well, Foutch always flies, right? Not sure if there's much of a conspiracy there. :P Now I'm really captivated by the idea of a 3D Educational Rayman game where the wrong answers punish you with alterations like these. :bad: EDIT: By the way, the skull platform turning into a wall probably isn't as ...
It's got a Red Lum chain leading out to it. I tried to go through it when I was a kid, but then gave up when I realized there weren't any Yellow Lums out there, and it was just really hard. I can get through it now though.
Arguably, all I really need myself from Ray2Fix is the hook FIX_fn_SuspendGame, since otherwise I'm really happy with how well the game runs on my system. Maybe I'll look into just hacking that.
I've been thinking about the Armaguiddon level lately (TOTL3). There's so much scenery there, and nice music, I feel like it should have rewarded exploration a bit more. The Armaguiddon fights themselves are really fun of course, but I think a secret room or two in the level would have made it even ...
Sorry guys, since this situation arose, I procrastinated dealing with it and forgot to post. Fifo is indeed correct, and I'll forgive him for breaking the no-multiple-guesses rule since it was a new page, and he probably doesn't want to host the next round anyway.
I knew about a few of the missing platforms. I just assumed that it refused to load the rest of the level beyond where the Pirate Head appeared. I had no idea that there were 79 specific evil alterations! I guess that explains why certain Purple Lums show up funny in Raymap then! I wonder if the peo...
Ah yes, those two things you mentioned (getting rid of the wrong-case DLL and installing d3dcompiler_47 with Winetricks) made it work for me in windowed mode too! Of course, it still looks a bit gammy, since Ray2Fix only seems to support non-widescreen resolutions, while my EXE has the wide-FoV patc...

Well, 2021 hasn't been much of a picnic so far either, especially here (I lost my grandmother to Covid-19 last week ), but at least there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.
Well, this does indeed let me run Raymap locally and switch away from the game without hosing it! The windowing doesn't seem to work for me, but that's probably because I haven't read the instructions closely enough (I can't remember whether or not I'm using nGlide for example).
