Re: Rayman 2
How about creating a thread in Off-Topic forums, where people who know stuff about anything Superduck related would post there, then? There wouldn't be much trouble with running out of content, at least from me. If anyone had questions regarding that branch of Donald stories in particular, I'd gladl...
Re: Rayman 2
Thank you very much for the information, Master!
Re: Rayman 2
If you wish to continue the conversation, could we please switch to private messages? Because if we keep on replying in here, it'll turn off topic very fast. If it already hasn't, LOL. It has, already. I was just getting curious about PK as you mentioned it and there we go. I liked it because it's ...
Re: Rayman 2
So it doesn't have to be the same engine? Meh, if Ubisoft chose to develop a new one specifically for PK, then why not? But you are probably right. The issue was I didn't know Pk was created by Ubisoft when I I answered you back then XD... If I knew the game wasn't made by Ubisoft, I wouldn't even ...
Re: Rayman 2
Many engines are similar. But it's not only because games have similar mechanics that they use similar engines. I know PK, I played it but it was around 8/9 years ago: Donald has a fall-slowing with his weapon, but it gives way less movement than Rayman's helicopter. Donald is also heavier in his m...
Re: Rayman 2
Hi! I have to agree with you! And it works like a charm in Windows 8, too! It was just something I discovered while I was messing around. That 'problem' affects only the loading screens during the loading time and doesn't affect the gameplay at all (unless you do that multiple times - then the sound...
Re: Rayman 2
Thanks for the info! I think that PK (AKA [Disney's Donald Duck] PK: {Out of the shadows}) runs on an engine that seems to be similar to the one Rayman Arena runs on (with some tweaks that are similar to those from Rayman 3) - Donald controls very closely to any character from that multiplayer game,...
Re: Rayman 2
Alrighty. I'll do that later, though.
Thanks for the tip!

Re: Rayman 2
Yeah, I meant the in-game font(s?). Then I have no idea why that build is different from the others... Hi there! It sure has been a while... Could you please remind me if we ever came to conclusion about whether Rayman 3 uses updated version of Rayman M/Arena's engine, which is an updated version of...
Re: Rayman 2
That's why the word 'fine' is between apostrophes (it's my equivalent of quotation marks). It sure seems so, seeing as I'd never had any issues with playing it on newer systems (sans 7 - didn't have the opportunity to install it on that one). I find it weird, though. I mean, try as I might, I can't ...
Re: Rayman 2
And yet, here I am, able to do that just 'fine' on Windows 8.
Re: Rayman 2
Well, the loading screens are a by-product of restoring the game after being minimised (which to my knowledge wasn't supposed to work at all?). I'm surprised the game doesn't crash anymore. My guess about that is in a slightly different coding done for a translation - I'm using a Polish version that...
Re: Rayman 2
<r>Hi there!
Long time no see, eh?

So the weirdest thing happened to me while playing the game on my new laptop.
I managed to install it from my copy of the game on Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and ran the application in compatibility mode (Win 98/ Me to be exact). Even without it the g...

I'd have never known that Tily's blue unlockable costume was supposed to resemble/parody CatWoman before... Thanks for sharing that!

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm trying to get another copy of "Ratchet: Gladiator" to work... At least this one goes beyond the PlayStation 2 logo. Such a shame it freezes afterwards and the disc drive starts a loud party. And the disc is in nearly perfect condition - only few minor scratches, they're barely visible....

Re: You know you suck at Rayman when...
(In some versions of Rayman 2, it sometimes happens)
... During the gameplay, all you see is a black screen.
