Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
A good way to keep tabs, and not forget to things is to write a checklist. You can also type it of course. Unless, that's not what you meant then, what do you mean by, depending on your interests in something you forget to do certian things? One trick I found helpful at helping to forget things you ...

Re: R.I.P Internet
If you dont like that one creator's content, that is fine. There are other chennels on it, like with Youtube. I think I know a kinda popular EU Youtuber that is on Bit Chute I think he goes by the name Computing forever. All that is beside the point, the reason any one in the eu should use Bit Chute...

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Discord's and Twitter's character limits would have to be even more restricted than that in the eu because they would be liable for any one that copies and pastes exact coppies of any articles. The good news is that Article 11 allows for short extracts of any article to be copied and used without pe...
Re: Rayman 1
A bit off topic but i'l find a way to keep it Rayman 1 related. I think I found a loop whole to the Article 13 thing. So basically, if we want to upload any images or any video to Rayman PC, we wouldn't upload them to sites like Youtube or Rayman PC, instead we would upload them to a peer to peer ne...

Re: R.I.P Internet
Spread this following information far and wide to anyone in the EU as this is the current loophole/workaround to Article 13 An alternative to Youtube that can bypass Article 13 legally is Bit Chute. They have a lot of copyrighted uploads and its gaining a lot of popularity recently. Alex Jones (the ...

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Basically, any copyrighted images, sound and text would be blocked on websites like Discord because they are a platform communicating to the people according to the eu.. The safest and cheapest and easiest thing Discord can do is restrict people in the eu to just sending text messages and limit the ...

Re: R.I.P Internet
There is one last hope those in the eu have. That is if their own country doesn't decide to use the new article 11/13 laws. The Rayman PC forum could live on if it becomes text only, no audio, no visuals. or.. best case scenario Ubisoft gives us the green light to continue doing what we do. With Art...
Re: Rayman 1
When dealing with slippery platforms over death pits, usually I just jump and glide while standing in place from platform to platform. If there are moving enemies on the platforms I just jump while in place, glide, hang on the next platfrom then jump and punch the enemy. Probally the easiest way to ...

Re: R.I.P Internet
So tomorrow is the final vote for Article 13 I have so rather new information about it that anyone reading should know. Article 13 is now article 17. They changed the name on the week of the final vote. Additionally, keepon protesting and spreading how much you don't want it to pass.

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
I am not sure. 2 possible scenerios I thought of. 1. any sharing of images, audio, live streaming and posibly uploaded files will be banned on these sites. All you can do is send text messages. They might even limit the amount of characters you can type. 2. Discord could just ban the eu from accesin...
Re: Rayman 1
I don't need 99 lives at this point, the Caves of Skops is a lot easier in caparison to Picture City. At least I know that boss is easier, perhaps maybe the levels will prove that I need more lives than 30.

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
it won't affect open source software sure. I think it would be called anti trust if an open source developer claims something is open source and then they decide to sue somebody for it so.. you'l be fine! Fan games and "freeware" is a bit of a different story. "Freeware" games ar...
Re: Rayman 1
The final boss on picture city got me down from 31 lives all the way down to 7 lives, it was hard because I had no idea what to do. The only way you could beat that boss without dieing is if you knew exactly when, and where to throw your punches, and when and where to dunk and crawl to. Can you beli...
Re: Rayman 1
I keep revisiting Allegro Presto just to get enough tings to gain an addtional 2 lives. I try to keep my lives at the 30 lives mark before starting a new stage. Playing Rayman 1 on PS1 today and yesterday, I found that on picture city, the first part was easy, I lost about 5 lives trying to get all ...

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
if Article 13 passes then I believe the only safe spot people in the eu might have left on the internet would be anything that is just plain text and that clearly doesn't plagiarize on any other work. Words are actually quite a bit harder to copyright than images, Sound and Video because words are d...

Re: R.I.P Internet
I was actually wondering, how would this affect Rayman Pirate Community? Would it close down if Article 13 actually passes?
I won't be affected directly but knowing that the place I go to for a Rayman community would be affected negatively will put a sour tast in my mouth.

Re: Linux
So, ever since I first started using Linux I had been consistently searching for a lightweight Linux Distro. I eventually found Bodhi Linux which is a very lightweight/modern Distro. I later learned about window managers and Desktop Environments, I decided that window managers were generally much li...
Re: Rayman 1
Wait, so because it outputs 50Hz they had to slow down the game? I don't think they needed to slow down the games for it to work on the Pal versions. I don't know if the N64 did this? I never heard of slower N64 games in pal, or pal at all really but I have heard in the past that ntsc was better but...
