I've still had friends call me by my previous username, but anymore it's just "Reese" for me or the full name I have on here, which is the name of my main original character.

I've settled with that and I haven't looked back.

< envies ^, < has to rent a cloud server because < has no means of hosting stuff from <’s home :(


< Isn't trying to make anyone envious, but < has been using used enterprise gear for what < deal with. <'s IT buddy more or less inspired this years ago.

It's the only way to go for me. Plus with the physical media, I will get the best quality I would need for my home theater system anyway.

Also nice! I have my own Plex server setup as well, even though I don't much like Plex for a number of reasons, it's something I have anyway.

< did finally get <'s Globox plushies in. < will have one with the other plushies in <'s home theater setup, while the other one will either be on <'s desk or office.

RAM is not the limiting factor in our architecture, but this will certainly come in handy for your use cases!


Well, actually with the Intel Optane Dimms , they're persistent memory.

There's some information on how those operate.

Basically I can install 12 of these sticks into the RAM slots ...

None of those are correct, and for those who have missed it, I've confirmed Giant Chicken to be half-correct earlier with the animal of the mascot.

I'll admit, I do miss the simplicity of the older internet we had in the 90's / 2000's.

In other news, I got my hands on a Dell R740XD, that I migrated to from a Dell R730. I now have full NVMe support in the front bay. All 24 of them for 2.5" U.2 drives. Which I've only got a few 960GB Intel ...

Nah, <'s currently in a habit of going to bed at that same timeframe, despite < having to get up at 6am for work.

That's correct, and when I force it off and back on again, things behave like nothing ever happened, until it just happens again at any given time. Be it in an hour, a few hours, or a week or so.
