Both games have been updated to support Android 10 internal audio recording (thanks Miles!). If you're using the previous patched versions you can simply install the new ones as updates, keeping your app data.

That is really odd. I should look into fully parsing the file some day to see what those unknown values are meant to be.

That's interesting. Does your progress show correctly in RCP (Rayman Control Panel) with the Hebrew saves? You can also decode and/or convert the saves in RCP to make them readable. Would be interesting to see what's different.

Unlike Rayman Plus the Rayman Control Panel will only use the existing game files. Because of this the intro is only available if your copy originally supports it. That's unlikely. There are several debug features left in the game, such as the training room. There was probably a flag to enable them, or if it checks your Uplay ID. Also, UbiRay wouldn't replace any costume. The naming thing is just them using the wrong ID.

Tbh I'm not 100% sure it's accurate, which is why I'd like to find some source. But it would make sense that's where the name originated from. I had 3 people tell me they remember seeing it on the leaderboards.

They did indeed digitize drawings. I hope they kept the originals as they'd be a great reference for a potential remake.

Hm, that's a good question. In the game files he's known as either Rayman_Ubisoft or Rayman_ubi. I can't find any source for UbiRay or Ubi-Ray. Perhaps we should change the wiki to state he was previously unnamed (but keep the redirect as it's commonly searched for)? Edit: Rayman Control Panel 9.3.0...

Yeah, it wasn't until they changed him to be Champion Ray that they gave him an actual description. I'm still curious how you're meant to unlock him normally in the game though. Each costume basically is of a specific type (like requires Lums, based on level, DLC etc.). UbiRay is its own type though...

We finally found a way to get UbiRay to appear as a normal costume :) (thanks to Droolie)

I'll include this as a utility in the Rayman Control Panel soon. It's really only one byte which needs editing.

I probably could get the coordinates from Raymap if I use the Unity version of it. For this texture we didn't though as granvillimus found it by comparing the levels in Raymap.

Well the way I did was to search every level file, which contains the texture references if used. The fix.sna file contains general texture references (like characters, HUD, icons etc.). I'm not really sure where effects and such are stored though as they don't show up there.

It was granvillimus who noticed it when upscaling the Rayman 2 textures. We then started comparing it between the different versions to see what was going on.
