Oddly enough every version actually has the animation where the clouds have eyes, but they're never used in-game.

That bug is not related to any mods. It's a known bug in the game which has a small chance of happening. Usually restarting the game will fix it.

The game has a very dark color palette, which makes it hard to see on a GBA, especially on the older models without backlight. I never found it to be a major issue though, but it's certainly noticeable compared to playing on an emulator.

Could you try this build? I disabled some of the functions using that method causing it to crash. If you get in with it, could you then send me the output I mentioned before please.

The app user data goes in the folder I mentioned before. So %LocalAppData%\Rayman Control Panel\RCP_Metro.
Changing where it's run from etc. won't help.

It runs out that the PostUpdate code does run even with resetting the app data since it sets the last recorded version to 1.0 by default, which is then seen as less than the current one. That is very odd. Version 4.8 should work fine as I'm targeting 4.7.2. After you deleted the app data, did you get the same crashlog? In the log you sent it crashed in PostUpdate, which shouldn't get called if you start with no data.

That's very odd. It seems the Registry method doesn't exist for you. Are you perhaps on Linux or some other non-Windows system? It wouldn't surprise me if they tested it by using their debug menu to complete all levels on GBA, which would set the value to the expected one. If I remember correctly from this the issue is that the game never saves that you've finished the final boss level, thus it's one less than expected. Stil...

Perhaps yeah. Problem with R1 is the exe is compressed (same for EDU, Kit etc.), so it needs to be decompressed first. Yeah, they probably never bothered copying over the functions which handled rotating the graphics, but left in the collision ones for some reason.

Oh wow, I just now noticed my typo where I wrote the .wld size in GB :oops2:

Too bad there's still a limit for it in Designer :( I was hoping it'd be much higher. I wonder if it'd be possible to increase somehow.
