Rayman 1 couldn't be in the Ubiart style anyway because they're not the same at all.
True, but now you got me thinking about how would a hypotetical UbiArt Engine-powered Rayman 1 remake would look like.

Re: How would you Handle a Rayman Remastered Collection

Depends which Rayman games we're including: - Rayman 1: I'd make a "Definitive" edition with widescreen + every enhancement from the PS1/Saturn version, maybe unlockable levels from the Jaguar version, and Rayman Designer integration ala Mario Maker (including Rayman by his Fans and similar level pa...

Re: Games You Remember Playing As A Kid

Oh yeah, Ultimate Flash Sonic is a classic, as well as Fireboy & Watergirl and Playing with Fire 2 for that matter. One of my cousins recently showed me an interesting downloadable Flash game: Need for Madness. Actually, in my opinion, the soundtrack is really nice and the game looks really fun to ...

Re: Games You Remember Playing As A Kid

I must have been 4 or 5 when I started playing games... I remember playing a lot of Flash games, mostly Ultimate Flash Sonic and Final Fantasy Sonic X 5. I did play a couple of Mario games, plus that GBC Rayman remake. My first real gaming console was a Nintendo DS Lite that I glt when I was like 6,...

Re: What are people's musical tastes here?

Pretty much everything Hideki Naganuma does. And Gorillaz. I’ve recently started listening to hip-hop (Kendrick Lamar and Biggie Smalls) and I love it. I tend to lean towards a lot of old-ish pop singles (Stranger in Moscow, You Spin Me Round, Africa, Tarzan Boy, Rasputin...), J-Pop/J-Rock (The Pill...

Forgotten game series you wish had sequels

Pretty self explanatory, methinks!
I'll start:

- a new Strider
- an HD rerelease of F-Zero GX

Re: What games are you currently playing?

Tried out GoldenEye 64 with mouse and keyboard and it is great. Normally I’m not one for FPS games, but this one really is good!

Re: Rayman & Rayman 2 The Great Escape against the others

I don't think the originality matters that much as long as people enjoy the game. I think the name Origins is used because the game is 2D like the first one, you save Electoons from cages and the magician is present. Rayman 1 never had Lums and Origins doesn't have Tings. The artwork in Origins is ...

Re: Rayman & Rayman 2 The Great Escape against the others

While these songs do sound rather similar (perhaps to the point of plagiarism), I still think that Rayman Origins still is an incredibly good, well-designed, fun and artistically amazing game.

Re: Could Rayman Raving Rabbids prototype be the new Rayman 4?

I doubt it. Mechanically, it could play similarily to the prototype/what remains in RRR’s code (although it does look quite stiff), but the Rabbids are too famous to become the zombie rabbits they were supposed to be. Plus, the devs wouldn’t be able to reuse assets, as proto-RRR was evisioned as an ...

Re: Rayman & Rayman 2 The Great Escape against the others

It's all just a matter of opinion. Personally I like Rayman 3 along with the UbiArt games and don't see a problem with a bit of change. I'm not a huge fan of the Rabbids games myself, but everyone is different. I wholeheartedly agree with this. As long as the game is fun (and as long as the changes...

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids

Rayman looks a bit stiff to control and the helicopter looks like it lets you hover at a set height before turning off, but nonetheless this is an amazing discovery! Kudos to you, my dude.

Re: Rayman emulation

Small bump, but I wanted to report that Rayman 2 on Dreamcast emulated via Redream (redream.io) works flawlessly on my shitty-ass computer (much better than NullDC, Demul, or others). If you wanted to try DC Rayman 2, that might be the emulator you were looking for!
