Re: Discussing the Rayman 2's Alternative Ending

There's the interpretation that the entire Cave of Bad Dreams was just a nightmare in Rayman's own head (even though in non-PS2 versions he finds Lums in there :confus:), so this would just be a particularly bad turn that the nightmare could take.

Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?

I've been a Rayman fan my whole life (22) years. My mom was a gamer and I was immediately exposed to Rayman from birth. I enjoyed the bright colours and music etc. and while cartoons were on early in the morning for my big sis before school, Rayman and Crash were on as soon as she left. What an ama...

Re: Which Rayman character scares you?

They still creep me out. :confus: Actually, when I first played Origins, the Sea of Serendipity reminded me a lot of fever dreams I had had as a youngster of being in Rayman-like underwater environments with disembodied hands trying to grab me. I think one of those involved Bertie Ahern's face thoug...

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids

I hate to admit it, but that looks fun. :P It seems like a less-advanced version of a cute app that Dad and his boss were using as part of an interview process a few months ago…

But wait, rabbit-like creatures eating sausages? When you think about it, that's obscenely unnatural. :beurk:

Re: Have we some kind of feedback loop with Ubisoft?

What about the "Moskito" in Origins. Yeah, that was basically the nail in the coffin for me about the whole Bzitt/Moskito thing in Rayman 1. Suddenly there are up to four friendly ones, all named Moskito! Notice that Origins came out when RayWiki was only a few years old, and so the feed...

If you were making a browser game, I would hope that you would use a more up-to-date technology than Flash. :P

Re: Discussing the Rayman 2's Alternative Ending

This seems to be an unusual discussion topic, but here goes: In my case, when I first heard Jano discussing "treasure", I assumed he was referring to the Elixir, which is what I was coming for. In that case, being surrounded by gold, the answer is obviously, "this isn't what I came for!". In real li...

Re: Rayman Adventures (2000), help indetify this

Good point. Why would it say "From the best-selling video game" if it were a game itself? Also, "peacefull". How sure are we that it's real? :P

Also, I just noticed that towards the end there's a portal in the sky that reminds me of BG&E, but it's blue rather than green…

Re: Old Technology

On another note, I was making a component cable using the plug from a cheap RGB cable and a spare Xbox 360 component cable I had. I got most of it done, then only needed to solder 2 more cables, only to wonder why none of them would stick. The soldering iron apparently gave up working and cooled do...

Re: Old Technology

I love it! :D

I seem to recall once using a staple to power on an ATX power supply I'd wired up to something or other. The POWON pin is just the right distance from a GND pin on the ATX connector!
