Re: Rayman Origins

Happy birthday, Rayman Origins! Five years ago today our little franchise was brought back from an eight-year dormancy (Rabbids aside) and to this day it's set the standard for the series to come. It spawned a sequel and three mobile spin-offs, one of which is still being updated. What's your best m...

Re: Rayman 2

You people are making me so excited for something that isn't getting made. It's like when my parents talked about having a third kid without any intention of following through.

Holy shit, Michel Ancel was my age when he did this. Why am I not making prototypes of wonderful video games?

Re: Dreams about Rayman...

Had a dream the other night that they announced a new Rayman game, simply called "Rayman", and it was 3D. Can't remember a damn other thing about it, but they also announced a new Spyro game, simply called "Spyro".

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids

Sometimes I actually reminisce fondly on the Rabbids era. Nostalgia's a funny thing. The games themselves weren't very good, but we got a lot of good stuff out of the series--a cool fan servicy GBA game, a badass intro cutscene from RRR2, some amusing cutscenes from TV Party, the first reference to ...

When the Grand Minimus says Knaaren are "invincible", he likely just means to you. Knaaren can harm other Knaaren.

Re: Who is your least favourite Rayman character?

I've grown to tolerate the Rayman Arena cast lately because I realized how difficult it is to think of another R2 character whose size is suited for on-foot racing. Clark and the guards are too massive, Sssam is water-bound, and Carmen is both of those things. Ly could have obviously worked and I st...

Re: Rayman & Rayman 2 The Great Escape against the others

Why do you dislike humor so much? Do you only like it when things are serious? Personally I play video games to have fun and enjoy myself, and humor helps me to do that. If Rayman 3 were up its own ass with gravity then I don't think it would be nearly as memorable of a game.

I would imagine Diamond Cups would be easier with more players due to Sturgeon's Law. The really good players are the ones who are still playing.

Re: Rayman 1

I agree with Caddicarus that the game is much too hard and shouldn't have had a lives system (a big thing the new games did right). Having to save all the Electoons is also bullshit. Still love the game including the later levels. It's easier to find in Rayman Advance because the gendoors are much b...

Re: Rayman Origins

Wow, I'm pretty mystified by what Ancel said. It does sound like he's trying to gauge public opinion on the story as it is, like he's unsure if it conveys the appropriate message or not. Wow, Michel Ancel looks like he has been working without sleep for weeks. He has trouble keeping his eyes open an...
