Re: Pretend to be like the poster above
Ok if y'all are reviving this thread, may I suggest you consider the caveat we put in way back when where you actually had to *pretend* to be the poster above. We ran into a quality issue where this thread devolved into "let's make an obvious observation about the above and not bother to actual...
Re: Rayman 2
Ahh, it wasn't a cheat, it was a patch.
I mean you're welcome to play on legitimate hardware (it's how I first played Revolution), but if emulation gives superior performance then that's what I'd personally recommend.

Re: Rayman 2
Hey I just don't want the MIDI tracks overwriting the CD ones in my head. It's weird quirk for me to get worked up over, but I much prefer the standard OST over the MIDI. Game itself is probs fine. As for PS2 (Rayman Revolution), it's the most drastically different version of Rayman 2 out there (I'm...
Re: Rayman 2
So what you're saying is now Hoodie needs to play the N64 version he owns on genuine hardware against neo. Then we can see the difference ourselves 😁 It'd be funny at least :hinhinhin: How about we don't and say we did. :P Poor N64 version, not getting attention and the spotlight. I notice you didn...

I just got reminded of smth that I imagine a lot of older folks may remember. Newer folks, enjoy the psychic damage:
Rayman sings Sexbomb
Annoyingly, it is quite catchy xD

Re: Rayman Origins
Jesus humch, you'd think UbiSoft slaughtered your firstborn with that kinda disdain (I kid I kid) I think there are definitely creatives in Ubi who do care for the series, I mean take a look at the driving forces behind the Mario + Rabbids, but I think there's so many different perspectives now on h...

Haha it'd be a fine ringtone Indeed, and on that topic, here's the one I've been using for about a decade now: About a decade eh? I've never had a phone last that long, and I rarely put the same custom ringtone on a new phone after a previous one dies. In fact for a while I just didn't bother with ...

Re: What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?
Oh yeah, still is in dev hell too even now and there was a fair amount of drama a few years ago if memory serves. In fact wasn't the hell of BGE2s development what led to Rayman Origins being started, cause they wanted a break from it? Either ways yeah, suddenly that little idea seems rather tragic...

Re: What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?
Heh that is a good point, Rayman 3 does seem to link fairly well to Rayman 2 (ironic given it's the only mainline title not developed under Montpellier or its predecessor xD) I mean, the juxtaposition of those two facts is pretty revealing, isn't it? Michel kept wanting to do "new" things...

Re: Rayman himself
I realized the trick was to let Rayman's momentum carry him around the circle and don't try too hard to hop about. It has a higher success rate than what I used to do which was panic and try to steer him and jump :oops2: Honestly I try to do that, but to this day I've only ever managed to get all t...

Re: What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?
Much as I like to dunk in UbiSoft (and there is a LOT that they should rightfully be dunked on about), I feel like this is one of the things I can sorta let pass. I don't think the Devs of Rayman games ever really cared much for lore, that's always been the hangup of fans, so it'd stand to reason t...

Considering the amount of videos there were, think a good amount of commendation and respect is due to Jonster. Thank you for your efforts in getting the RayWiki channel and for linking to the Wiki itself.

Re: What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?
I guess what I really like about this whole Bzzit thing is that the community somehow decided that those characters were one and the same, and that by the time some people starting pointing out that there was no evidence to support this assumption, it was already too late and the developers of Raym...

Re: Rayman himself
Tbf, part of it was kinda cause I didn't want to get too far ahead and cause I knew neo was trying to pick up as much as he could as well, I wasn't actively trying for 100% but I didn't wanna just go wayyyy far ahead because I chose to take the quicker route and thus leave neo behind. Like for examp...

Re: Rayman himself
Truth be told, it's not as bad as I make it out, moreso because I've played Rayman 2 so many times at this point that it's pretty easy to go through. I just find myself getting a bit bored after a while, perhaps it's cause I can't help but try for 100% which means a good chunk of the time I spend in...

Weird, < thought immobilisers were standard in cars now, <'s pretty sure the Japanese cars here would have immobilisers. Unless they're at a different spec getting it from Japan and they don't do that there?
