Re: Rayman 1 Musics project by Rémi Gazel

I've also commented on it, looks like the both of you had a blast collaborating with pieces across the eras. Wishful thinking on my part, but I'd love to see you two collaborate on an official project sometime. Why not, it's a great idea... who knows what can happen :) I'd love to see that! My only...

Re: Rayman 2

That would mean that he has greater power over things outside his dreams than things inside, which doesn't sound right to me.

Re: Rayman 2

Personally, I do think he has some godly power, but he's limited as he's symbiotically linked to the Glade, I think it was Shroobie who came up with an idea I like. Which is that Polokus can create from his dreams, but not change their content thereafter. Unless you count destroying an army of robo...

Re: Rayman 2

Although I've seen it referenced in many other things too, notably fictions of the modern era, again. Perhaps. I like that idea though. It makes sense... kind of? It doesn't for the higher nature gods such as Gaia and Ouranos, but it would for gods like Zeus (and I know I'm bending it - I have been...

Re: Rayman 2

Kinda ticked off how they never exactly gave an explanation for this change, cause I'm dying to know honestly. Would be nice if they tried to put a story around it, why all the worlds are so wacky and why everyone is limbless, but they'll probably leave it in the dust. Don't hold your breath. There...

Re: Rayman 2

Is Polokus ever referred to as a god? I got the impression he was a spirit of the world, almost like the Native American view of spirits of nature and life. I don't see any difference beyond the semantic. The Valley doesn't really seem to be a place Polokus dreamed up, or maybe he has, The Knowledg...

Re: Rayman 2

Ooh, Headcanon brewing, eh? Lemme season this discussion, then. This is mostly going to be based off the Knowledge of the World: Hmm, I don't think Polokus has absolute power over the Glade, he does share a symbiotic link, no doubt. But I find it curious how he then decided to create Clark, who's s...

Re: Rayman 1

Has anyone here ever discussed that odd present box right near the up-left corner of Mr Sax's Hullaballoo on the map? I've always wondered what it is, another unexplained surreal world that never got in the real gme perhaps? Or just something random to put in there? Yeah, we've analysed pretty much...

Re: Rayman 2

I'd forgotten about those statues – or should we say fossils? They add another layer to the proceedings all right. (I remember someone on here telling me not to waste time trying to interpret them, saying that they were simply models reused out of laziness – what a frightfully dull attitude!) There'...

Re: Rayman 2

About there being no guardian/temple for the fourth mask, it's actually a bit of Fridge Brilliance (if I may use that trope in this context). A trope is an instance of figurative language, like an exaggeration or a metaphor. You're thinking of narrative devices. There's really no similarity, but th...

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures

So this is essentially going to be the "Hyrule Historia" of the Rayman series? Oh dear...as happy as I'd be at some attempt to make sense of the continuity of Rayman, I am a bit apprehensive as to the potential extent of conflicts and changes that'd be needed on the wiki. Still, can't put...

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures

Can someone translate this, or at least the parts where Ancel is talking about the original game? That's where we're most likely to find new information. He mentions Frédéric Houde at one point!

And look at this!

Will the event be recorded? France is a bit far for me at the moment, but I'd really love to see this!

Re: How large are your hands?

For this, I discovered that online rulers exist , and that websites are able to read my screen dimensions without my browser asking permission first. My earlier measurement was carried out awkwardly with a 20cm ruler. I guess I must have fumbled it, because according to this one my hand spa...

Re: Rayman Headcanons

I see, still, we know it's merely a fan theory, right? Still, looking at the RayWiki articles, perhaps we ought to amend them, as it seems theory is being presented on a bit of a wobbly scale: http://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Valley http://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/The_Glade_of_Dreams#Geography I always used...

Re: Rayman Headcanons

My headcanon is that the Valley is located in one of the tiny islands from the southwest of the Glade of Dreams, while the events of Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 all happen in the continent. ^That's precisely my headcanon. Maybe I got it from you? :P Hmm, I think that's a pretty common one 'round here, I ...

Re: Rayman Headcanons

But the original will NEVER fit with the designers' concept of Rayman 2 OR the GLade of Dreams. That's broadly correct. And didn't the Gameboy version specifically say Valley? The Game Boy Advance version has the Magician referring to "the valley", but this port was outsourced to Digital ...
