Old Rayman Pirate community site

Post by Shadowrayman »

On the web archive I wrote down Rayman pirate community down it was interesting so I managed to see the site from 2005! But sadly no 2003 or 2004 site. It looks pretty interesting and there were some people online when the page was archived! So, maybe some people can have a look at this old version of RPC.

Normally I'd make mention of the search feature, but given how it isn't very good without absolutes, finding the earlier version of this thread probably wouldn't have been as easy to find.

I'll be merging this thread with the older one I just bumped. Standby for merger.

I know, hence why I said I knew it wouldn't be easy to find, and why I wasn't intending to give the usual request in regards to seaching.

Anyways, if you look at the OP, you'll notice that there's a link to an even earlier version of the portal, any thoughts on it?

Oh, looks intresting, the 2003 site is in French so I can't understand. I really like looking at old stuff I am very interested with that stuff.

It's funny how the Archive never took a snapshot of the actual board index at that era, so clicking "Forum" transports me to 2011! God, the 2007-2013(?) design was really hard on the eyes compared to this one.

I recall OCG was fairly fond of the old theme, he drops by from time to time, but I don't know if he's changed his preference.

That's 1.1 “HTML subSilver-looking”; 1.0 “Lycos WebBuilder” was lost I'm afraid.

Yeah, those names sucked, I know.

It is interesting to see how web standards have evolved, there may have been a time where places like YouTube could've blown people's minds. It certainly blew mine when I discovered it.
