I see where you're coming from. The thing is, most of those character descriptions were random jokes that added no value to the lore in my opinion, and often, they even added to the confusion. I mean, seriously, Shadow Ray?

Yep, they were either getting disgustingly lazy (which isn't out of the ordinary for Ubisoft, need I remind y'all ) or intentionally messing with us with Shadow Ray. If they wanted to make a black-and-white Rayperson who loved silent films, I would have preferred if they went with a grayscale design for him and gave him a noir detective outfit or something. If/when I get better at making art from my head, I might be able to make a redesign concept for the guy, but that's not quite in my repertoire at the moment.

I wonder if Raybox will be added in RLR since I've been imagining him being there in either his classic looks, the red sweater or his gothic looks for some reason. And now that I've checked the recommended requirements for the device, I now wonder if I'll ever get to play the game without lags (probably not), I really wanna know how it's gonna feel like. Not much hope, but I still have it. And yea, regarding the descriptions of the skins, Raybox's one is that kind of descriptions you get on April 1st, though it's one of the important parts for my AUs and headcanons, but I digress.

Indeed, but that wasn't even their intention. The only reason they came up with that story is because they needed to write something after shamelessly reusing the Dark Rayman sprites from Rayman Legends.

Ahh.. no worries, If you want to break a sweat on the game the only thing you would need is an RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX-5600 XT 6GB with at least 16GB of R AM, and a Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X is also the recommended processor

Picked up mines on PlayStation 5!! I didn't really want to pre-order on PC because I prefer playing Ubiart Rayman games on consoles and because I didn't want to face the challenge with both Denuvo and Uplay in general

Agreed; however, realistically speaking, if the leaks are true and there will be an Astro Bot skin in Retold, it will almost certainly be exclusive to the PS5 version. Additionally, if they bring back the Ray and Glob Plumber skins (which I hope they do), they'll obviously be exclusive to the Switch 2 version. So I imagine there will be some console-exclusive content if the leaks are true, but I think it'll just be limited to cosmetics like in the OG Legends.

Again, sorry to double-post, but we've got a breaking new development! A user on X/Twitter showed off a few screenshots of Retold models, confirming a bunch of returning skins and a few new ones! They don't all seem to be fully finished yet, but they're finished enough for me to spot them! I'll slap a spoiler tag on the images for those who don't want to see it.


So from the two images I've identified the following skins:

(Deep breath)
Rayomz, Sir Rayelot, Raymesis, Funky Ray, Dark/Shadow Ray, Classic Rayman (which we already knew about), some sort of leather-based Rayman skin - it doesn't really look like Assassin Ray or Adventurer Ray, so is it a prototype for either of those or a new skin? - some other skin for Rayman involving purple; I don't think it's Ray of Persia, but that's where my mind went first...

(Another deep breath)

Sir Globrax, Glombrox, a gray skin for Globox - I think that's supposed to be Globolk - Glombrero, Retro Hunter Globox (which we already knew about), Hoodlum Globox (which we already knew about), a new pink skin for Globox with eyelashes and lipstick - Uglette, is that you?!

Elysia, Aurora, Estelia, Ursula, Olympia, Sibylla, Amazonia, Betilla the Fairy Barbara (which we already knew about), what looks like a new Barbara relative/skin with a headpiece sporting three pom-poms and a skull in the center, another new Barbara relative/skin with pink hair and a blue and yellow helmet...

The Flaming Teensy and what might be Teen Punk.

Notably absent from the bunch, at least from what I could find, are Raybox, Raymolk, Champion Ray, Splinter Ray, Glob Cell, Poglox, Twila, Selena, Emma, Avelina, and most of the Teensy skins. I imagine that most of them are still on the way, but I just couldn't find them.

Edit: If you look really close behind Uglette, you can make out what look like Poglox's arms, so I think he's here too!

It's cool to see just how many skins are being modeled and brought back in Rayman Legends Retold! I still wonder if some of them, namely the Barbara-related ones, will have different voice acting since all of them can't be Celtic. Anyway, I'm excited to see all of these guys again, and if there's any I missed, be sure to let me know (with the spoiler tag, of course)!

Sorry to disappoint, but those are just the rabbits that appear in the background in some jungle levels in Legends. You can already see them in front of and behind Rayman at the very start of this video.

Having watched this part again, I can now confirm Rayomz toenails are real.

I just watched that part, and that let me identify a few more skins. I'll still put up the spoiler tag, but the video is publicly available and most of these are returning skins so I don't know how much of a spoiler these are.

So I got a better look at the Rayman skin with the purple clothing, and based on the shoes and gloves I think that is Ray of Persia. At the far end of one of the shots, I also spotted a dark-skinned Rayman with black hair - could that be Tarayzan?!
Anyway, the gray-looking skin was just Poglox but poorly lit, so he's confirmed but Globolk is currently MIA. I also spotted two new Globox skins; there's one that gives him a yellow ponytail sort of like an Electoon's, but I couldn't identify anything else about him. The other one is a Globox skin with brown clothing, a hood, and a weird wooden mask with wooden ears; I'd guess this is some sort of crossover skin, but I have no idea what it is.
I've also spotted the Goth Teensy, Teensy Ray, the Teensy Queen, and the First King alongside the other characters. I didn't see Teen Punk in the video, so I probably misidentified that one.

Currently the Legends skins that are missing from this are Raybox, Ray Plumber, Ray Vaas, Raymolk, Splinter Ray, Champion Ray, Red Globox (somehow forgot that one last time), Glob Plumber, Far Glob/Glovaas, Globolk, Glob Cell, GlobTeen, the Teensy Wizard, the Ninja Teensy, the Teensy Hermit, the Golden Teensy, Twila, Selena, Emma, and Avelina. Despite this, I think it's likely that at least all of the non-crossover skins will come back, and at this point I have hope that they'll bring all of the Ubisoft-themed skins back. Things are looking good for the UbiArt heroes!

Edit: The video also FINALLY showed off the Tree of Tranquility! I was able to get a better idea of it thanks to the footage and a translation of the captions. This looks to be an expanded version of the main gallery from the OG Legends, featuring portals to the various worlds and Kung Foot Evo alongside various Teensies (including one with an afro) and a couple new structures. One of those is a shop-looking area with a hot air balloon and a Teensy wearing goggles and a multicolored headpiece; I spotted this Teensy and the balloon in other hub areas we've seen before, but I'm still not sure what he does. Another of the new structures is what looks like an unfinished telescope; maybe you'll repair it throughout the course of the game, but I'm not sure what it'll do once it's finished.

According to the translation, Creatures and Lucky Tickets have gone out the window and you'll be able to obtain skins through some sort of new system in the Tree of Tranquility. When the topic of the Back to Origins levels popped up, the devs said that they had plans for it; I assume they're referring to the Enhanced Edition of Origins, but it could also be something new in Retold.

Finally, the video also detailed a few more notes about the game. Apparently, for the sake of consistency, a few of the OG levels have surprisingly been cut from the game; maybe they just mean the princess rescuing levels or something less significant, but I'd be legitimately surprised if main levels from Legends were removed from the game. The levels in the original game were mostly consistent and didn't have any jarring style clashes from what I know, so I'm not sure what they mean when they say that they cut them for consistency's sake.
The devs also said that the wanted to scatter new content throughout the game to surprise even seasoned players (like myself); I'd assume that this is just limited to the dragon rides and new music levels, but who knows, maybe there's a little more in the existing worlds too?

Those pictures kinda remind me of that one Rayman Origins concept art in the tree (where Rayman was originally going to live) and honestly, I actually like it (I was reading the whole stuff going on here, just not to fullest)
I do hope GlobTeen, Raybox and all those skins appear! Oh and the single-multiplayer thing too (like in Rayman UbiArt games of the main line), because how do I make at least one story, hm? :^
