I never got that to work but I was using the one on part 6 where he doesn't fall off the wrecking ball. Part 3 is a nightmare though and I could only manage just under 40k by the end of that part.

EDIT: Now I know a little bit about BOM :hap:

This is something i've been curious about, but aside from jumping height, does his running speed differ between versions also? For some reason from watching other combo videos and attempting them, I feel like in the GC version he's slower than whatever version I was watching in the videos. Maybe that's just me though....

I felt that way at first too, but people are so good at maneuvering and collecting gems without actually touching them that they make it seem faster. Maybe there's a slight difference in the walking speed too, but it would be extremely slight if there is.

A lot of the combos just take a lot of practice. That's why you need a controller.

I suppose. I can't get one right now though since I'm pretty much broke so I guess I'm stuck with a shitty keyboard. Not that I can't pull combos off with a keyboard but maybe a lot of remapping will probably need to be done for me to be able to contend with being in at least the top 50.

I find that a keyboard would make the game extremely hard to combo in. I think the left and right analogue sticks both come into play very often, especially with Matuvu combos. That and even just general hoodlum combos. There's a high chance of error when you're limited to only 8 directions to face.

A bit late, but I wanted to inform you that the walking/running speed does indeed differ for the different versions. If I recall correctly, XBox had the slowest walk, but I don't really know about GC. Then again, 1234's game seems to run slower than Cut's or mine, even though we all use PC. Maybe it's possible for GC to have the same problem?

I wonder if the PAL and NTSC versions differ too since the jump height varies between 50/60Hz. I think Rayman seems to walk faster at 50Hz too unless it's in my head, but he seems to get to the vortex on LOTLD part 1 much faster at 50Hz and the shock rocket goes further. GC definitely seems to walk faster than Xbox from the tests also.

So it does, thanks! I wanted to know since when I was trying out some of the combos that you and the others had made, I noticed that there were some I just couldn't seem to pull off no matter how fast I tried to do them in Dolphin, and I thought maybe it was because he was running slower. Then again it might be different on PAL versions of R3 GC too like ^ said.

Well Maz plays PC which is supposed to be the same, but we've established that the jump height and walk speed varies depending on ones setup now. GameCube NTSC walks faster than Xbox at 60Hz and that's 100% guaranteed, so maybe you just need to practice the combos. I'm not saying you're bad, but some of the combos are so hard to do and take a lot of practice. The top players just have the ability to make it look easier than it is :P

Even the 2 green gem combo on DOTK took me forever to do and that's not even really that hard, it's just all in the timing of the jumps.

Hiya there, buds. i just registered today to say something...
I just installed Rayman 3 from my Russian CD on my PC today, and i ecountered an a weird texture-missing bug.
The textures are okay, but some of them... Just become black.
Why does this happens?

P.S: It is same without Better Rayman 3 Patch. Just not widescreen.

Just disable vertex processing in the DX8_setup.exe file or else set TnL=0 in ubi.ini.

I think ubi.ini is in C:\Windows\Ubisoft. Try looking there.

It's probably not there for him, sometimes it's in C:\Users\(username) \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\Ubisoft

Firstly, welcome to RPC. Secondly, you mean the missing textures problem? I think it's mainly caused by Windows 10 and Intel integrated GPU's.
