Rayman will be in Academy of Champions

Apparently theres a ubisoft team in the game made up of characters of their various franchises rendered in the game's style, and Rayman is on it:

The game itself is looking like Ubisoft's take of Sega's Soccer Slam or Nintendo's Marios Strikers games.
The rabbids get a nod on the european version of the boxart which is admitably is extremely lame as not even Pele is on it, and the other characters don't get a mention. Whats odd is that the NA boxart makes no mention of the rabbids at all. Are they really that popular in Europe that their presence is apparently what it takes to market a football game?

But still, Rayman showing up is pretty cool, and he looks pretty neat in the game's style.

If what you say is true (and quite frankly, without evidence, I don't believe you) then this would end up being the only Football game I would ever buy in my entire life.

You do realize the image is being hosted on IGN, right?

Theres more screenshots of the Ubisoft characters ingame from the GC09 over at other sites as well if you don't believe IGN for some reason.

The rabbids look twice as f*cking ugly and come in different sizes... :boon:

Will Rayman be a playable character? When is this came due to be realised in Europe? Is there any other pictures of Rayman in it? Who are all the other random people?

As a goal keeper it's not likely, but at least he's actually in it

Probably just as a horribly sick way to get us to buy the game aswell...

At least they altered his model from the R3 one. That's cool...

I havent seen much gameplay from the game, but there could be a goalkeeping minigame thing if someone tries to do a special move like in Strikers Charged.
Thats not really playable, but its something.

... They look the same as they always do.

Look at their mouths...

Anyway, ONM hasn't reviewed this game yet. Which gives me a reason to buy their next mag (also I sent them in a text hehe).

Whoa, what is up with the rabbid mouth? It looks like something straight out from Viva Piñata.

Cartoony Altair looks handsome and slick.

I am noticing a distinct lack of Win.

I love that picture too. Shame the in game model doesn't look as good.

Well it should be on IGN and there's also the official site.

I somewhat think that Rayman looks strange on the game... but anyway the game didn't catch me up much interest for me.

In terms of character models, yeah (despite preferring the designs of Rabbids Go Home's characters) but I think the actual world looks better in Rabbids Go Home.

Everything about that model is weird. Everyone else is just a lesser poly version of that hires shot I posted, while Rayman looks entirey different (black pupiled eyes for one. Is texturing eye pupils that taxing?). The feet are incredibly small, and his limbs are out of proportion. His pose is really weird and kind of zombie like in conjuction with that blank expression. Its comes very close to hitting the uncanny valley despite being a completely outthere character. I wonder if its a placeholder image since the rabbid image is just him in a T-stance which is also kind of weird.

That popped out of my mind too when I looked to him.
