Oh, so you're Portugal? We have more nations there than I thought.

Well, I really dunno what's happening. Should I send you a Polish executable? Maybe it would work?

I think nothing changes only with the executable...

Well, I am just another confused guy who has problems with the gamepad.
Rayman M is the only game with such problem.

All the rest games run fine.
No one game asks me such questions as:
- Does it have sticks?
- What make is it?
- Is it USB model?
- Is new or old model?
Does not ask me to borrow gamepad from somebody else.
Does not ask me to make check sum of legal CD.
Does not ask me to reinstall gamepad or use another computer.
... Just runs.

I do not intend to use any gamepad keyboard emulators in 2P mode.

The problem is that sometimes gamepad works and sometimes not.
From what we see; we think it is associated with constant system patches.
The patch comes and you can forget about gamepad.
Few months later you check the game and the gamepad works.
(Abandon system upgrades? No, thank you.)

2P mode is a really nice fun.
Pity nobody can identify the reason. There is no tool to identify it.

Have a nice day.

Right... apparently yes. It got clear that no one can solve the problem, aswell I wasn't able to solve it. I think the multiplayer option is incompactible with USB Gamepads.

Well, it does work (regretfully not always).
We had enjoyed multiplayer with USB gamepad for quite long time.
It is a real fun, chasing each other on arenas (2P + 2PC).
Then system update arrived and ... bye-bye.
Few months later ... hello again - we have not done anything - just that.

Seems Ubisoft's Rayman has problems with gamepads.

See Ubisoft's FAQ section for list of supported gamepads.

For example
Rayman 3 - supported gamepads:
================================================================
- Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad / Gamepad USB / Dual Strike / Sensor
- Gravis Destroyer / Eliminator / Game Pad Pro / Xterminator
- Thrustmaster Fusion / Rage 3D
- Per4mance Propad 6
- Guillemot Dual Analog
- PS-PC USB Converter
- Interact Powerpad
Well ... ours is not in the list ... and it works perfectly. Lucky we!!

Or
Rayman Raving Rabbits - supported gamepads:
==============================================
- Microsoft XBOX 360 Controller (well ... almost ... vibration will not work)
- Logitech Rumblepad 2 (well ... almost ... challenge, when more than one gamepads connected including non-Logitech's)
- Thrustmaster Dual trigger force gamepad PS2/PC
- Saitek p2500 rumble ("press the Right and Left Thumbsticks to access the Start and Select functions")
- Gembird Dual force gamepad
- Impact Dual analog rumble pad
- Other controllers may work but functionality may vary ...........

Seems guys at Ubisoft are too busy with other tasks and gamepads are hard nuts to crack.
Have a nice day

It's impossible to play with another human player in Rayman M for PC. Everytime I try to configure the Gamepad the game doesn't detect the Gamepad, only the mouse. :paranormal:
And Windows detects perfectly the gamepad, as it works in other games. Anyone had this problem also? And does someone know how to solve it? I think it's a proggraming error... :(
For all Rayman M fans thinking about this issue;
Maybe Haruka already undesrstood the source of this controller problem cause it' been so many years ago, but I would like to add this information from the manual.
Supposing that the gamepad must be DirexctInput one, I tell my opinion.
In multiplayer mode, player 1 can get two control choices, gamepad or keyboard, and player 2 gamepad.
As all can expect, if player 1 takes gamepad control, player 2 has no choice for gamepad, for PC can not handle two USB gamepads normally in Rayman M.
If you would like to play the game with your friends on ONE PC, player 1 must select keyboard and player 2 gamepad.
I guess that Haruka's problem is the confliction of the gamepad selection for the game ?

There is a solution now to make gamepads work in the game on PC.

I forgot that missing the file "dinput8.dll" IS THE REAL PROBLEM of your case.
