< says thanks to ^. < doesn't know why some people have to be so hateful, but all we can do is leave them be if that's the way they want to be.

Re: The You Game!
< offers ^ <'s sincere condolences.
Re: The You Game!
< also thanks ^. < only had two hours sleep and is home from the funeral. < will definitely need a nap if < is going to be drinking later with some relatives.

<'s condolences to ^ as well. < also had a loss before, and it happened to <'s aunt as well, very early for that matter.
Re: The You Game!
< also thanks ^ for the condolences. The worst of it is over now thankfully, but there's always the good memories.

Re: The You Game!
Thanks, and yeah, that's why < didn't want to mention it, but then < realised there's nothing wrong with being open about a tragic event. It's when < was upset last time due to having a loss along with all the hate < was getting, even though < had tried to say sorry about 100 times. < had been told that < is playing victim and needs to find a new hobby...
When a person is upset, they're upset. Humans are only human, and have emotions. Just because a person did something stupid which they regret doesn't mean it's fair to nitpick them forever, and assume everything empathetic they do is a false sense of guilt. Like, < doesn't know why anyone would pretend to be upset, that doesn't make any sense, especially saying sorry if you're not actually sorry. Worst part is some people knew < and should have known < broke down emotionally, but somehow that was overlooked because apparently < just "changed".
< just wanted to get that off <'s chest, but < will stop thinking about people that don't deserve <'s time if they only want to be hateful while < is trying to do the right thing. Nobody's perfect, everyone has their breaking points, but < knows when < was wrong.

< is also sorry for ^'s loss.
Re: The You Game!
< says thanks to ^ also, it means a lot.
< ended up having a few drinks with relatives, but < didn't want to go overboard. < drank as much as < would on most given occasions, but < also had a shot of whiskey for the first time ever. < thinks it's better to just stick to Guinness.

Re: The You Game!
< hopes it wasn't good whisky, else it's a shame to drink it as a shot.
Re: The You Game!
< just knows that it was bourbon, and that people there told < it was shit.Hunchman801 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 12:58 pm < hopes it wasn't good whisky, else it's a shame to drink it as a shot.

Re: The You Game!
< agrees that it was the best way to drink it, then. (Not that there isn't great bourbon out there, of course.)
Re: The You Game!
It was the first time < ever tasted whiskey, even though < had ouzo before (way too much but < shouldn't talk about that night again ), and vodka a few times. < also remembers trying sambuca at a new year's party before. < doesn't usually drink spirits though, usually just beer. It was lager until <'s stomach got messed up, then it was Guinness instead.

Re: The You Game!
< is a huge fan of spirits, < had more than 100 bottles in <'s bar at some point.
Re: The You Game!
< tends to look down upon alcoholics.
< just doesn’t get why people do it. < wouldn’t get any pleasure out of it.

Re: The You Game!
< agrees that a person being a legit alcoholic is bad. < only has a few beers here and there, it would be another story if a person needs a drink in the morning in order not to feel sick.

Re: The You Game!
In light of ^^'s comment, < feels the need to point out that it's an addiction, and it can be extremely hard for a sufferer to deal with it.

Yeah addictions aren't so easy to deal with, but it's just a bad place to be in. < has never been in that position <'s self, and < would hate it. There's a difference between wanting to have a few scoops, and literally depending on it so much that you're shaking and having panic attacks without it.
