Oh wait, now that i think about it, I have to 100% Rayman 3 first
I seem to have forgotten that I haven't even finished TTOTL or started it
Technically ^ is farther ahead than me

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
After a couple years, I’ve come to realise that there some games I really want to 100 percent that most people wouldn’t. So I’m more inclined to say “Yes” now rather than “only when worth it”.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
In my case it depends on the kind of game.
I tend to beat simple games at 100% if they are interesting enough to me. In some game it's even required to get all collectables to proceed (I'm looking at you, classic spyro).
Open world games already take effort to be completed on main missions, I don't even bother with them. When I realised mini races and side missions in MAYHEM were replayable and they could only increase the chance to unlock blueprints and/or costumes (which were not immediate), I got kinda disappointed since in Saints Row series they were not strictly mandatory, but at least they served at conquering/marking specific places (so they serverd to progress with the game).

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I can only think of a few titles I've 100 percented, I'm not sure what it is about a game that makes me want to 100% it but I suppose if it feels like a realistic goal and I really enjoy the game I go for it.
From memory I know I've 100 percented Rayman 2, Castlevania SotN (actually for this title it's 200.6%), Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, Mario 64 and Mario 3D Land.
I remember wanting to 100% LoZ OoT but upon finishing the story I lost the motivation. I feel like if I want to 100% a game I have to hold off from actually beating the game until I've collected everything, otherwise the satisfaction of completing the game overshadows the satisfaction of getting 100%.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I haven't been a regular gamer for a long while but I did complete games at 100% more often than not, and it led to a lot of disappointment because I didn't feel my efforts were adequately rewarded. Jak & Daxter is the best example...

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
That reminds me, I also 100%ed Jack & Daxter. Sometimes I find 100%ing a game satisfying in itself, but it would be nice if games gave you more rewards for putting in the extra effort. I guess some developers are afraid all their extra work will go unnoticed if it's locked behind a challenge that a majority of players will never complete.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I 100% if I know every ins and outs of the game I intend to complete to 100%. Like say Rayman and Spyro. One of the latter games I completed to full percentage is A New Beginning, The Eternal Night, and Dawn of The Dragon. (The last seems more easy to me)
Crash Bandicoot is another story and won't really bother unless a friend helps me complete the game.
Since late 2017 and early 2018 I started playing God of War 3. I need to finish it before I get the fourth and it's first two predecessors.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I recently 100%ed the Resident Evil 3 remake, and RE 7 before that. The RE2 remake is a bit trickier to 100%, I started a new game in order to do that but I kinda gave up when I realized I had to knife Birkin to death.
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I think the most recent one I've completed 100% was Batman Arkham Asylum. I only recently went back to it on Xbox one for the first time since 2017 because I had given up on the annoying challenges.
I had completed it 100% on other platforms before, but I done it again because why not. I've never completed the likes of GTA 100% though other than GTA V, all the others kind of felt like there was just too much to do, though that could be a good thing since it keeps you playing.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
It really depends if the game is worth the effort, I think the only games I did complete 100% was the Kingdom Hearts series of games. Guacameele, Spyro, Crash and other games of that nature. I think the only types of games I don't complete 100% are open-world games. Those things are just way too long.
I exist, just finding stuff of interest.
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I think GTA V is the only open world one I did this with.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I try to 100% whenever I can! Some of the games I've fully beaten so far include Origins and Legends, and I just 100%'d the first Crash game in the N. Sane Trilogy for the first time too!! Now onto the time trials...
Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I try to complete games, at least story. Something that also often happens is that the game has no actual limit.
I like games that don't have a true end.
Rayman Legends has challenges which simply encourage you to set your own goals.
games I love I usually want to 100% in any way possible.
there is a game I just couldn't finish to 100% yet. Very hard game, very tough achievement to pass for 100%
As for Rayman games, didn't complete my first childhood rayman game. Though I got revenge on it in other forms ^^ so in a way, now completed.
2nd one I don't have anymore. Can't complete it.
then I joined in on Origins and Legends. I think I 100%'ed Origins 3 times. Nice game :p
And I geeked the heck out of Legends

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
In reality, since I quit Rayman Legends (as an active competitive player) strategies have evolved.Hunchman801 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:20 pmSome of your techniques are pretty impressive, ever thought of compiling a guide or something?
With ground/platform canceling being a very big addition to Tower based challenges.
So I wouldn't have all the strats down to make a guide for.
I have done a guide to "Tower OP start" but a lot of these vids are gone and that's due to YT being mysterious towards me. They never told me why and I didn't get strikes or anything. So rip that.
Sorry, dwelling on the past.
Rayman Legends community has guides for them. Sure I can do my own spin on it but I simply recommend what the community has created so far :3
I might finish my series of guides for Rayman Redemption magician challenges. idk

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I couldn't even be bothered to go through with Legends since I wanted to complete it on multiple platforms, and the challenges were enough of a grind that I just didn't bother do 100% it on anything then. I did everything other than 1,000,000 Lums and the 11th level of Awesomeness on every version I bothered to complete though. As for Origins, I completed every version of that I own 100%, other than Wii and 3DS, since the 3DS version is shit, and the Wii version is only 480p compared to the other versions.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I think I even got the million Lums in Legends but there's no way I was ever gonna for the last level of awesomeness, it would have taken me months of daily challenge grinding, no thanks.

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I used to love doing the challenges every day. They focused the mind, while distracting me from my problems, and allowing me to spend ages looking at an artstyle that I loved. Even though I eventually stopped (for reasons I no longer understand), it breaks my heart to think that they're gone (at least on PC).

Re: Do you bother to complete a game at 100%?
I think I had about 900k Lums at one stage and then lost the save file, then I wasn't bothered to do it again. It remembered my progress on cups for challenges, but I still don't feel like grinding for months (on Xbox at least). I felt like if I was going to reach level 11 at any stage, it would have been on PC, but now that can't happen. Nothing says I can't still just go back to it on Xbox every so often just to get some gold cups, but people are insanely good at using tricks for those speed challenges.
