This mainly applies to 3G users and those who use shared networks:
Often when I'm browsing on my phone - vey often - I will be logged out for some reason. That's alright since it's probably unavoidable, but can we have it so instead of redirecting to the index page we get returned to the page we were on beforehand? The reason I ask this is because so many times when I'm posting a reply on my phone and I hit "submit" it asks me to log in, meaning it logged out while I was typing, making me lose everything I just has typed.
In short: When we log in, can we be returned to the same page we were on, plus have it save what we've typed? Knowing as this is a common feature on most boards this shouldn't be much of a problem to do.

Re: login redirection issue
Almost every system doing it I seen does it by attaching the return url to login page - sounds easy. However I have no idea about serious PHP stuff, I haven't seen the code, and knowing how messed it already is, I'll guess finding the parts supposed to be patched would already be a pain.

With that said I'm assuming the code has about the efficiency and organization value of a swine's kitchen.DesLife wrote:Knowing how much of a mess the code is...

Re: login redirection issue
From what I understand, it's what happens when Smith's & Smith's cheapest engine gets put into Hunch's car and only tweaked a bit because this car would be used every month for a village ride, with heavy increase of use of this car following and nobody having enough guts to replace the engine because you may always tweak it.

This topic is old but it is another proof that we need a mobile version of the forum!

It makes no difference, mobile data will still do it even if it's 4G / LTE. It happens me if my WiFi drops out and my phone switches to data. I usually lose what I just typed. That's just an example of it.The Jonster wrote:Thank goodness I don't have a 3G
What's "a 3G"?
