I done the falling challenge in 12 seconds before for a diamond cup but it took me about an hour :P

Distance challenges can be quite same-y, at least for me. That’s why I prefer time/dojo challenges, since they end up feeling like I’ve earned the trophies more than a challenge where the reaction of “oh cool i got further than that person” is the norm.
I don’t mind free trophies though, gimme gimme
One time I saw a Neverending Pit challenge having its diamond cup border at 1 second and I was like "What?" because just getting past the opening segment takes more than 1 second as is.
One word for you: h a c k e r s . There’s so many on PC that trying to get a diamond cup legitimately is a lost cause.
I actually saw someone on PC with an invaded level score of -1 seconds once, though I’ve lost the image :oops2:

Yeah, the invadeds are screwed up. We really should petition Ubisoft to clear out the leaderboards.

But then why does it say 1 second for the diamond cup? It looks like it's supposed to be legitimate because that's what's written there :|
I know there are hackers who can use speed hacks to achieve the 1 second and as a result the diamond cup, but I thought there was like a legit way to get it rather than to do that

Wow, really? Why would anyone do that?

That's funny though

Allow me to answer your question in a simple equation:

HP = Percentage of hackers in an average challenge lineup
DTT = Diamond Trophy Threshold

HP x 1 Second = HP Percent of all players “getting” 1 second on their challenges
DTT = 1%
If HP > DTT then that means nobody who is isn’t prepared to also hack the game will be able to humanly obtain a diamond trophy. It’s a vicious cycle
Wow, really? Why would anyone do that?
Probably for the memes— the other day when I was replaying the game on the Switch I saw a guy on an invaded leaderboard with a score of 59’ 59’ 59’ that must’ve taken a lot of soft-resets to get perfect

I think the real reason most people do it is because they suck so badly at the game that they just cheat instead

Edit: I now own Rayman Legends on every platform it was released for :)

So from what I've learned from the bits and pieces of info I've gotten from a few people about Legends, getting Diamond Cups for that 11th level of awesomeness is extremely difficult, with those freaking cheaters making things worse. My question is though, what exactly does these levels of awesomeness bring? Since I never played the game I'm not really sure what getting to those levels does.
Always be true to yourself.

Nothing except that you managed to reach the final level. You get a Uplay achievement on PC and an trophy/achievement on PlayStation/Xbox for it too.

The challenges are clearly done with modding/cheating though making a Diamond cup impossible on most.

You don't need Diamond cups, but you need 6000 points. Each Diamond cup is worth 50 points while a gold is only worth 10. You'll still get there with golds but it will take months.

Edit: you get almost 4200 by just getting 100% of everything in the game and then the rest are gotten from challenges which people clearly cheat on for some sad reason.

Maybe this is the reason they’re porting literally every Wii U game ever— so that people don’t hack the scores into oblivion

Well, the current PC leader in the Extreme Challenge of the Day has about 33 km, but earlier today he had about 6 km. That's not t3h h4x. That's hanging in there until you get to the physical limit (it starts glitching out after about 32~33 km). Btw I'm currently runner-up at 5 km. :P

Anyway, I just finally completed Back To Origins on my current save. It's always bittersweet scratching those last few tickets, knowing that the most interesting thing they can possibly give you at this point is another Creature…
I did notice a funny glitch on the first level of Moody Clouds proper. In the segment where you're going up in an air current surrounded by mechanical Trident Fish, I decided to try landing on one of the fish to kill it. What happened was, I did get five Lums as if I had killed it, but it didn't actually die. I then just whacked it into the wall, where it duly died, but didn't yield any further Lums. As far as I can tell, you're supposed to just get hurt if you touch those fish from any angle. Weird. (I wonder if it can also happen in Origins. Possibly, considering that Legends fixed another glitch in that level, where the glass balls of Lums can reappear if you go into one of the cage zones, despite having been smashed, and not containing Lums anymore.)

That's nice on the 5km :)

But when I say cheating I mean the fall as fast as you can levels where you literally fall as fast as possible only to realise that you need to beat that time by an extra 5 seconds or so which seriously isn't possible. I have gotten Diamond cups in those before so I can tell that these are shenanigans :P

Edit: That's on Xbox One though and I haven't checked out PC. I guess I'll check that version out :D

Yeah, the falling ones often have those ridiculous scores. I wonder why people hack those, but not the distance ones. :?

Yeah I'm best just going for gold on those ones and then just sticking to the distance ones if I want to try for a Diamond cup. I need to join you in playing the PC version anyway :P

Random, but I was just replaying 'Climb out' in the back to origins stages of Rayman Legends, and noticed that when the dark toons attack they jump off the platform they are standing on if on the edge. Being curious, i managed to get one to follow me all the way down the stage and into a body of water. They actually have a unique animation for landing in water, where they gasp for air and flap frantically toward the surface, before dying after a few seconds. Idk if anyone else has noticed this but i thought it was a nice touch.

Problem is, if we add a new option it resets the poll.
Still, it's good to hear that the "Definitive Edition" is holding up for at least one person!

I have completed it on Switch, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The only difference with the Switch really is the ability to play it on the go and the exclusive heroes that it has. It's the same experience otherwise, except with longer load times due to it being highly compressed.

well, technically i got rayman origins on PC so i got used to the loading times, also if the experience is the same as other platforms otherwise but with ALL the skins, then im more than happy that is only the loading screens that i honestly dont mind...that reminds me, i have to 100% some levels
