Composer (rayman 1)

Post by blammymatazzz »

Hey guys, never posted here before. But i was looking for information on the rayman 1 soundtrack, and i found this site and figured it would be the best place for information.

Does anyone know the name of the composer (or composers) of the rayman 1 soundtrack, and if they have any other good projects you would reccomend listening to?

I always loved the rayman soundtrack, many many years later i still havnt heard one as good. Oh, sorry if this has been asked before, but i found no info in the other threads.

Thanks for your help
ps - i would check the manual, but it was thrown out a long time ago :(

Welcome to PC ;)
All I know is that it was composed by professional jazzmen, whose names must be on the manual, but I don't have it either. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you anyway!

In the Credits section of the manual for the PS1 version of R1, under "Sound Effects and Music", it says:

"Stephane Bellanger, Didier Lord with Silvain Brunet, Nathalie Drouet, Dominique Dumont, Hamel Feunas, Rémy Gazel, Didier Léglise, Jean Marc Lichtmann, Frédéric Louvre, Olivier Mortier, Frédéric Prados, Stéphane Ronse, René De Wael, Olaf Zalcman"

Some of these people may have worked only on sound effects, and not music. That's all the info we have, as far as I know.

Wow, thats a lot of names. Thanks for your responses guys.

Kinda wish my knowledge of french jazz musicians was a bit more thorough, lol.

Edit: I'll check those names out on the internet, but if anyone has any further info, id love to hear.

Well, before I knew of the existence of RayTunes, I downloaded a RAR of the original soundtrack and Stéphanie Bellanger was the artist.

I think that Didier Lord, not Stéphanie Bellanger, was the 'main' artist, but I'm not certain.

The mistake was PluMGMK's fault, not mine; I copy-pasted the word "Stéphanie" from his post because I don't know how to type an "é" with my keyboard.

Well, Stéphanie is what I learned in school. The acute accent/fada can be obtained by pressing Alt Gr and the vowel you want to accent, in the same manner as you would use the Shift key to capitalise.

Maybe I should have increased the size by 50% rather than 100%.

But it would be :boon: × 2.25 in terms of surface. If you want it to be twice as large, you have to increase the size by (√2-1) × 100%
