< is pleased to report a happy ending to this story. < ordered one of these babies shortly after making that post, and it arrived yesterday. < held off on installing it until today (given that yesterday was Friday 13 ) and now all four of <'s cores run at reasonable temperatures, even on full load, overclocked to 4.4 GHz (from 4 GHz)PluMGMK wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 4:10 pm < has spent a significant portion of the weekend traversing several nodes of this graph:

< decided to try to fix a problem < has where one of <'s four CPU cores runs really hot under load. < reapplied thermal paste and reseated the heatsink, and the PC would no longer boot! Eventually < removed the liquid cooler entirely and reinstalled the dusty old stock cooler which had been sitting in a box for the last four years. And it works again, thank God! But now all the cores run hot under load
< used the Web Archive's "save page" function to avoid link rot on that link (for the same reason that we upload images as attachments instead of linking to external hosts). The original link is: https://www.scytheus.com/mugen-5-argb
The cooler's brand name (MUGEN) reminds < of R4Y_ANC3L. < wonders if they're doing all right these days…
< is pleased to hear that! The Jonster wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 9:19 am < made an edit on RayWiki for the first time in 3 years. <'s been playing Rayman games a lot lately so < will be using the wiki more often for researching stuff.
< guesses YouTube doesn't automatically delete playlists even if videos in them are deleted…The Jonster wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 9:19 am < also found something very curious about <'s profile page. For some reason the links to <'s YT playlists that < made on Rayman games work despite the fact that < removed the videos in the playlists from YouTube. < finds that really unusual.
