The '''Woods''' or '''Forest of Light''' (called '''The Clearing''' in the PS version of ''Rayman 2'') is a location in ''[[Rayman 2: The Great Escape]]'' and its remakes. Following [[Rayman (character)|Rayman]] and [[Globox]]'s escape from the ''[[Buccaneer]]'', this is the very first "true" level in the game. It is a tutorial level in all versions of the game, in which in all versions other than the PlayStation version, [[Murfy]], a greenbottle, arrives to teach Rayman (and indirectly the player) the basics of the game's controls by walking past the [[Stones of Thought]].

In ''Revolution'', this level may only be accessed once.
