I found some references to beta versions of the N64 version of Tonic Trouble on Unseen64. I'm not sure if this is any different to the beta PC version, or if anyone here has seen this already, but here it is:
Unseen64 also have a few beta images, which might be good for the wiki. Spiraldoor 15:51, 23 September 2009 (UTC)spiraldoor
I was watching Nitro Rad's review of Tonic Trouble and he mentioned that he couldn't find any legitimate sources to back up the claim that the game was "initially to test the 3D engine used by Rayman 2". If no one knows the source of this, I think this line should be removed. --Elite piranha (talk) 15:10, 20 December 2019 (CET)
::::I have the book right here, and I confirm that Tonic Trouble has been used to test the 3D engine used by Rayman 2:
::::"Ubisoft a déjà expérimenté avec la 3D sur Pod - Planet of Death, un jeu de course sorti en 1997 sur PC. L'ambition des studios est claire : construire un moteur interne afin de mettre en chantier un nouveau Rayman en 3D. Comme cette technologie n'est pas encore totalement maîtrisée, il est décidé d'essuyer les plâtres avec un autre projet, pour ne pas risquer d'entacher la toute jeune marque Rayman. Helena Handbasket is a character from Rayman Origins. She is one of Betilla's sisters that is imprisoned in the mouth of a Darktoon, and is first encountered in Moseying the Mountain, the first level in the Mystical Pique. When Rayman, Globox and the Teensies rescue her, she gives them the power to run on walls. There's a PlayStation Network trophy/Xbox LIVE Gamerscore achievement, called Nymphs Rock!, which consists in a player rescuing her from a Darktoon.

Character description
Helena is referred to as the Mountain Nymph. She has mid-length blonde hair (noticably the shortest of the family) and is one of only two nymphs in the family to wear a dress - a blue one, with furry trimmings at the top and bottom. Along with Betilla, she does not wear a hat made from an animal hide or skull, but what appears to be a waterdrop-shaped hat with the same furry trimming. Pieces of the same furry material is also worn around both her ankles and wrists.

Role in Rayman Origins
When Helena is rescued, she is then seen on the map of the Mystical Pique before the players reach Way of the Electoons, which is a level consisting of an Electoon bridge. If the players gather enough Electoons, she will grant them access to this level.

When the players reach Riding the Storm, the first level of the Moody Clouds, Helena is seen as the only nymph to stay floating in the centre of the portal that leads to the Moody Clouds, and to chant a spell to open it once all of the Four Kings are defeated. Therefore she is the only nymph that does not meditate, as there isn't a king that rules the Moody Clouds.
I think it's a very safe assumption that the Black Lum swallowed by Globox in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3 is indeed André. Consider the roles they play in their respective games: both are very specifically swallowed by Globox at the beginning and spat out by the end, making it quite clear that the Black Lum in this game is based on the one in the original version. The reason his significance in the story is downplayed is probably that the game was originally intended as an adaptation of Rayman 2, and that the Rayman 3 elements were shoehorned in at the last minute and never really developed properly. I don't think there's much of a case to be made that Globox consecutively swallowed two Black Lums, one of whom was severely underdeveloped in the storytelling sense and disappeared never to be seen or mentioned again. As such I suggest the restoration of the relevant material recently removed from the article. —Spiraldoor 15:07, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
:You say that some information was eliminated before? Hmmm, I always afirmed that in the GBA/N-GAGE version of Rayman 3, the Black Lum in question is André for reasons that are obvious. --Haruka 15:43, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
