A new record at a bonus stage in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman.

Bonus levels are short stages in the Rayman series that usually differ from normal gameplay and give the player a reward for competing them.

In Rayman

Main article: Bonus level (Rayman 1)

In the original Rayman, bonus stages are accessed by finding the Magician and giving him ten Tings. The objective is to collect all of the Tings in a small level, and the first time a level is successfully cleared the player will gain an extra life.

Bonus levels also appear in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman. The goal of these bonus levels are the same as in the original Rayman.

In Rayman 2

Main article: Bonus level (Rayman 2)

In Rayman 2, bonus stages are accessed by completing a level with all of the Yellow Lums and cages. The objective is to help a baby Globox win a race against the Spyglass Pirate by pressing alternatively two buttons at a fast rate. Upon winning, the player is rewarded with either a full life bar, a Power Fist, or full life bar and a Power Fist.

Bonus levels also appear in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman 2. The goal of these bonus levels are the same as in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman. Unlike the Game Boy Color version of Rayman, the objective is to collect all of the baby Globoxes instead of Tings.
