In Rayman 2, crabs can be found in the Sanctuary of Water and Ice and Whale Bay. In the PlayStation version of the game, two other crabs are oddly present in pirate strongholds in the Echoing Caves. In Rayman Revolution, they can additionally be found at the Pier in the Minisaurus Plains, the first part of the Front. in Rayman 2 Forever they reappear as enemies.

In Rayman 3 and Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge, a more powerful variety of crab enemies known as Ninja Crabs appears.
