They say, on the night the Shubamubans were created, the whole world smiled at the sound of the Bubble Dreamer's belly-shaking Laughter... the Lums shone more brightly and danced more merrily as the Heart of the World pulsed out the primordial rhythms of the Cosmos.—Unknown narrator, The Art of Rayman Origins
The Shubamubans are entities mentioned at the very end of the artbook The Art of Rayman Origins, and in unused files in Rayman Origins, and are not directly referenced in Rayman Origins, the exact entities to which it refers are unknown.
The word "shubamuban" means 'Shaman' in Ubbi Dubbi, the Bubble Dreamer's native language, suggesting that possibly the Shubamubans are a type of shaman.
According to The Art of Rayman Origins, at the creation of the Shubamubans, the Bubble Dreamer laughed so hard that the world smiled with him, the Heart Of The World pulsed more harmoniously and the lums danced more merrily. Pictured on this page of the book are two egg-shaped rock statues sculpted respectively like Rayman and Globox, indicating that shubamubans may be these statues or those characters.
In Rayman Origins, a piece of unused text indicates that Globox is a shubamuban, perhaps this could indicate his species, or the English translation of shubamuban being "shaman" could refer to the fact he used to be Red Wizard.
