Just a tip

Hi, first I wanna say, thanks for all your pics so far. But I want to give you a tip -

you can upload a new version of a pic by clicking a link that says "upload a new version of this file", and that takes you to the upload page again where you can upload your other copy. Saves us from having to keep deleting it over and over just to fix it. -- RKartHead.gif StaceyW 11:50, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Uploading pictures

Hey Haruka ;)

Thanks again for your contributions to RayWiki. I would just like to remind you that every picture you upload should not be cropped, except for the black stripes which should always be removed.

Thanks for your understanding,

Hunchman801 14:12, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi there!
In accordance with my message above, could you please replace the two pictures of the helicopter bombs you've uploaded with their un-cropped versions?
Thank you for your contributions ;)
Hunchman801 12:15, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi Haruka! You have recently uploaded two cropped pictures of the Teensie doctors, do you still have the full versions? As I said here and here, cropped pictures are best avoided ;) —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 14:06, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry about that Hunch, I thought it would be better if they were cropped for a better close-up. As you know the doctors appear only in the cinematics and in automatic 3D scenes in TLS. I'll substitute those quickly. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 14:32, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Rabbids magazine scans

Do we really need these yet? Cause so far nobody's played the game so we have little or no info for use with the actual article yet. Just sayin'. --RKartHead.gif StaceyW 17:40, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Image formats

Hi there ;)

Just a small message to remind you not to use the PNG format when uploading large images containing a great number of colours (applied to Rayman games, this means pretty much everything in 3D (from a technical point of view)). For example, the image 2DMadness-Arcade-R3HH-PC-Pic13.PNG is 1.83 MB in size, while it is only 194,8 kB in the JPEG format with a high quality factor of 90%.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hunchman801 09:45, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Alright then. I used PNGs for a matter of quality. If you say that it is preferable JPEGs, then I'll take that in consideration in the future. --Haruka 16:12, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Using the PNG format will not alter the file at all, but using a quality factor higher than 90% when compressing the file as a JPEG will make the alterations unnoticeable, trust me ;)

Zombie chickens

Hi there! I have a problem with your latest addition to the zombie chicken article: 'The Sanctuary of Rock and Lava (Equivalent to Beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava in Rayman Revolution]]' (sic). It is totally unclear whether this refers to an appearance in Revolution, and which level it concerns. Could you please tell me more about it? :) —Hunchman801 22:03, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Because in the classical Rayman 2, the Zombie Chickens appear in the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava level. But in Rayman Revolution this level name and the "Beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava" level name are swapped. I'll change it to a better meaning. --Haruka 22:10, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
They're not just swapped, they're called 'Beneath the Lava Sanctuary' and 'the Lava Sanctuary' (with no mention of the 'Rock' part), which made it even less clear. No need to be sorry about that! —Hunchman801 22:58, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Images (again!)

Hi there! First of all, congratz on using a camera to take pictures otherwise impossible to get (so far), as you did for RRTIT-Wii-Hookarium.JPG. However, before uploading such pictures, keep in mind that they should be resized to an adequate resolution (800×600 being more than enough for low quality pictures such as those of a TV screen taken with a camera). That's what I just did to the aforementioned picture, which reduced its size by 30 times (and I'm actually thinking it could have been much more as the quality factor I chose (90%) was way too high) from almost 3 MB to less than 100 kB. Disk space is best saved when possible! Keep up the good job :) —Hunchman801 23:19, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me that. I'll try to resize pictures in the future, if I take more photos with my camera. --Haruka 23:41, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
All right, make sure you resize those you have already posted (I just took care of 8 of them but there seems to be others). Also, use a quality factor no higher than 70% when compressing them as JPEGs; more would be useless. Thank you! —Hunchman801 12:20, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Armoured Slapdash

I saw your Shielded Hoodboom and wondered if you could contribute an image to the Armoured Slapdash page. --iHeckler9Life.gif 14:33, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

The one of the same level? No problem! --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 19:06, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Green spiky balls

Hi Haruka! If I'm not mistaken, you have a working version of Rayman Designer, so could you please upload a screenshot of a green spiky ball in a natural Dream Forest environment? If you're not sure about the resizing, you can save it as a PNG and upload the raw version to Imageshack, I'll take care of the rest myself. Thank you! —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 22:33, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

That's correct, I have a working Rayman Designer. Sure, but tell me one thing: does it must be a screenshot of an official level or can I take one screenshot of a level done by me (or even with just one green spiky ball to take the screenshot in purpose)? --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 23:57, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
It's all in my first message, the only requirement is that the spiky ball has to appear in a natural Dream Forest environment, which obviously cannot be a blank map. Other than this, it doesn't matter whether you created the map ;) —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 02:01, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
I only wanted to make sure it was from an official level, but that's ok. I'll try to take one today. :) EDIT: Here it is http://img843.imageshack.us/i/sgdsg.jpg/ --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 11:13, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, but you saved it as a JPG, not a PNG. Could you please do it again with the right format? Thank you! —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 21:26, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm sorry, I've been really forgetting that the screenshots of 2D Rayman games must be in PNG format. Here you go: http://img849.imageshack.us/i/semttulodq.png/ --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 22:01, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

New images

Where on Earth did you get them from? I'm genuinely impressed. --iHeckler9Life.gif 10:38, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

These were lost in my Hard Drive, somewhere in the huge Rayman picture gallery I have since I can remember. (Since 2001?) --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 12:13, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Bubbles

Hi there, Haruka! :D I've just checked the new Bubble article. It's a great contribution, but I find unnecessary to use a disambiguation list, as in Rayman 2 those items are called "Air Bubbles", and in Rayman Origins they are refered just as "Bubbles"; I find unconfortable the title "Air Bubbles (Rayman Origins)", because they're really never called like that in the game, and they cover a bigger role in the story than just items (sorry for my bad english). Also, Air Bubbles don't seem to need a redirection, so why don't we just move the "Air Bubbles (Rayman Origins)" article to "Bubble"? If anyone wants to check the Air Bubbles article we can use this:

I would like to listen opinions of other contributors too. I did the disambiguation because both sound very similar. I think what you are trying to suggest is to fuse all the articles into one, and divided by sections of different games. If it is that, then I accept your suggestion. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 10:55, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
Sergio is right. Bubbles are a really basic and important part of Rayman Origins, so it's fitting that we should simply call them Bubbles. The air bubbles in Rayman 2 are a very specific type, which only appear underwater and are limited to restoring oxygen, so it's probably best that they have their own article (simply Air bubble). —Spiraldoor IconSpiralDoor.png
Changes accepted. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 16:28, 23 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for that help page. I couldn't find it on here.--Yoshidude99 01:12, 4 April 2012 (CEST)

You're welcome, it is useful to have a look. --Sparkle.gifHarukaSparkle.gif 14:26, 4 April 2012 (CEST)

Sorry for the quality of that image. Any other images I upload will be by Emulator.--Yoshidude99 18:30, 11 April 2012 (CEST)
