Re: Movies you just recently watched
I saw Zootopia last night and WOW was it good. when the show was funny it was funny. when it was getting real it was unbelievably intense. i don't think I've ever seen a movie lately address racism and sexism (albeit allegorically.) in such a sincere way. A must see for literally fucking everyone.

I saw Cowboys & Aliens last time. Man what a waste of time. The plot was wrote by a 4 year old (Alien are abducting people int he Far West! I wake up with a alien technologies bracelet on my arm, I don’t remember anything but I know I have to save my people, youhuuuuu) and every protagonist was a stereotype.
However, Daniel Craig working with Harrison Ford and Olivia Wild’s wet shirt boobies were nice.

I watched the Revenant and it was all right. Great landscapes and very good acting, but the story in itself I did not find particularly striking.

I'm watching Terminator 4 : salvation right now.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane today and it was really fucking superb, eerie and creepy but also awkwardly funny. Really don't skip this one, it's rad and x-treme.

Peewee's Big Adventure. Oh man, this film is such a good time. Loved every minute of it!
Re: Movies you just recently watched
I saw the Ratchet & Clank movie last night. I wouldn't say it was good but not exactly terrible either, a lot of its flaws felt forgivable enough. I didn't get the impression that it was a cash-in, like an attempt was made but it just didn't come out right at all. If it was aired on Nickelodeon instead of being an actual theatrical release I would've thought it was just right.

Saw Warcraft and despite its flaws (mainly pacing and casting issues) I really enjoyed it. Some really intense scenes and as a fan of Wow, I was impressed with all the attention to detail and nods to the games. Really hope they make a sequel.

I recently saw a french movie called, " Les Choristes" or The Chorus in english. Its a cute movie about an ex- musician that works as a precent at a French boarding school. Its a really cute and funny movie, and I recommend watching it.

I saw Finding Dory the other day and for what it's worth, it was a cute movie; heavily flawed once you consider how aware of the human world these fish are, but still touching enough that kids should love it.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
I saw the new Independence Day reboot. No one really needed this sequel and it's essentially just 2 hours of predictable cliches but, that's more or less exactly what you'd expect it to be. For just a mindless fun movie night it's not bad at all I guess.

Given that my secret project is at the end of phase 1, I had the time to check out some movies recently. Three well-known movies that I had never seen, to be precise. So here goes my opinion on all of them.
Avengers
Fun movie while it lasted, and the action is quite phenomenal, but the first half is all-exposition because we need to introduce all these characters you might not know if you never seen the 153000 previous movies in the cinematic universe (plus Hulk, because we don't wanna talk about his movie and it's too late to reboot it now). While the screen time is well balanced and the introductions are correctly done, this still presents a problem : if a character you know is introduced, it's redundant (and thus eats up time that could be allowed elsewhere) and if you don't it's still too short to present somebody in five minutes when a whole movie is usually needed. But, again, once the action kicks in, it's very good despite the very obvious ultra mega plot hole about Hulk.
Lilo and Stitch
One of the few Disney movies I had never seen until now, this one is basically alright but I feel the movie would be better if you flat-out remove the aliens. The story is devided between the sister bond of Lilo and her sister on one part and the alien manhunt in the other, but the strength of the movie is the former and I wish it would have focused on that. But the character was funny, even though Stitch was a bit annoying by the end, the action is well-choreographed. It's enjoyable in its own right but it just leaves you feeling a bit disappointed that the relationship between the sisters is not even more developped.
The Incredibles
Now that was an awesome movie. A bit cliché at times, but very immersing in the long run. The setup and characters are very creative and funny, they're down to earth despite being superheroes. At one point I thought the villain reveal was a bit too soon until I realized that I was already halfway through the movie. That's how good it is. A+.
