Re: Burgers
I have my ups and downs, there are definitely times where I relent and just end up walking to the shops to get a snack or some treats, but I don't order unless I'm in a social setting, so it takes a bit of active effort to get them.

Re: Burgers
At this point, I suppress cravings with a glass of OJ or a cup of tea, but then I'm not sure how healthy that is either
Re: Burgers
I also hate it when burgers turn soggy because they decide to put some kind of sauce on there that coats the entire thing and then your hands get all sticky and blabla you get it I hate burgers.

I can definitely get behind this sentiment!Rsandee wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:11 am I also hate it when burgers turn soggy because they decide to put some kind of sauce on there that coats the entire thing and then your hands get all sticky and blabla you get it I hate burgers.

When I'm playing video games or concentrating on something heavily i can ignore my hunger. Doesn't always work sadly.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:10 am At this point, I suppress cravings with a glass of OJ or a cup of tea, but then I'm not sure how healthy that is either![]()

Re: Burgers
I also echo this sentiment. I appreciate a good sauce, but I do not like having sticky hands.
Re: Burgers
It feels horrible to have the sauce go everywhere when you're eating anything like this. I just can't touch the computer or anything like that at all until I wash my hands.

Re: Burgers
Yeah, I get that. Whereas if I try to concentrate on something I don't really want to do, I become acutely aware of hungerThe Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:14 am When I'm playing video games or concentrating on something heavily i can ignore my hunger. Doesn't always work sadly.

Re: Burgers
I don't tend to like playing games or having something that requires active handling while eating, I much prefer eating while in conversation or watching something for that reason. Cause I can feel the food there not being eaten if I'm doing something else.

Re: Burgers
Sometimes I'm so fixated on stuff that I forget to eat, in the same way as forgetting to sleep.

Re: Burgers
I kind of always make sure to be watching a show or video or something because I live alone. Eating is a social thing for me and that's how I grew up so that's how I replace that I guess.Master wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:17 am I don't tend to like playing games or having something that requires active handling while eating, I much prefer eating while in conversation or watching something for that reason. Re: Burgers
Yeah I think that's very much how I feel about it too, we usually sat together to eat, and it feels right doing it that way rather than having something you're occupied with and food on the side.
Re: Burgers
Yeah a lot of people actually seem to like to watch something while eating. I actually do too, but I don't always bother to go somewhere with a TV. I could use my phone but sometimes I just eat quickly and go back to what I was doing.Master wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:17 am I don't tend to like playing games or having something that requires active handling while eating, I much prefer eating while in conversation or watching something for that reason. Re: Burgers
Reminds me of when my dad once said it'd be great if I had four hands, because then I could play Rayman, do my homework and eat my dinner at the same time. But I don't think that's how coordination worksMaster wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:22 am Yeah I think that's very much how I feel about it too, we usually sat together to eat, and it feels right doing it that way rather than having something you're occupied with and food on the side.

Re: Burgers
I like do do that when possible. Sometimes because I'm just in the kitchen I don't bother though. When I'm up in the room I have the TV or the computer to watch anything I want while eating. In reality I should be doing that, it's more comfortable.

Wouldn't that be something!Master wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 12:27 am Not with that attitude, time to obtain multithreaded consciousness!
Tbh it feels like Emmy's brother had that in the performance of Laika Party at the Eurovision, because he was able to mime marching while also playing the keyboard riff with his right hand!
