Considering how Origins is designed, I think the 1-hit system (or 2 hits with a heart) actually fits the gameplay loop better. The UbiArt games are built almost entirely around momentum, rhythm, and fast-paced platforming. If we had a full health bar, it would be too easy to just damage-boost our way through the tricky platforming sections, spikes, or boss chases. It would kinda defeat the purpose of that "flow" state the game wants you to master.

Plus, the game compensates for the low health by making checkpoints super generous and respawning practically instantaneous. It treats death more like a quick trial-and-error reset rather than a huge punishment.

Still, if we ever get a return to the 3D exploration and combat-heavy style of the older games, a proper health bar is 100% the way to go! :coeur:

I like having health bars instead of having one hit point (2 if have said heart) because i was always familiar with rayman game having a health bar and not being a glass cannon, because in the original prototype of origins you and the other 3 players had a health bar if i was still in the live main game i would be better!

With this change, the game would require heavy rebalancing to avoid making it too easy. E.g., toughening of enemies, elimination of checkpoints. It would end up being a very different game.

I'd probably be here all day if I were to talk about all the unused content Origins has to offer... so instead I'll recommend that you check out the RayWiki article about the game's early production! There's a lot left on the cutting room floor, but since the Enhanced Edition of Origins is confirmed to have more skins, maybe some of it could come back soon? One can dream, at least. :hap:
