Re: Books, Reading them.
Whoever wrote that book really fails at French, I'm afraid.
I've got a similar book called "The Little Book of Foreign Insults" and I've had Russian speakers confirm that it's not that accurate. Still fun though.
Re: Books, Reading them.
I finished reading Eragon today, I'm going to read part 2 tomorrow. ^_^

Re: Books, Reading them.
I read it. I also read Eldest and Brisingr. I thought they were fairly good. The film was pretty bad and the game was probably the worst thing I've ever played, though.Quickfist wrote:I finished reading Eragon today, I'm going to read part 2 tomorrow. ^_^
Re: Books, Reading them.
Aww, I wanted to see the film..
Is it really that bad? I read the movie edition, it had photo's of the film and a different cover, which looked pretty nice, but I noticed that some actors look very different from the characters in the book. For example, the book says that Arya had black hair, but the actress had red hair.
Re: Books, Reading them.
You don't need to worry, I'm sure it's a fine film. As long as you don't get REALLY attached to the book you'll enjoy it. I've heard good things about it.Quickfist wrote:Aww, I wanted to see the film..Is it really that bad? Fail.Holy Crap wrote:Matyuv, yeb vas.
The first one isn't even a word and the second one isn't grammatically correct in this case.

I can however translate almost whatever you want into Polish, if you're interested.
No, no Shakespeare or whatever.
EDIT: Typos.

Hablo español como una vaca frances.
Let's put it this way... The movie was horrible. But the movie was better than the book.Quickfist wrote:Aww, I wanted to see the film..Is it really that bad? Re: Books, Reading them.
Maybe the Dutch translation was better than the original.
It's written by some teenager after all.
