Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
I added a "things to do" section on that which will list our top priorities on the wiki, eg. doing all the Rayman 2 levels. Just gotta pick a colour, make a few more templates and that should be kinda ready.
Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
I've made alot of progress on the wiki today.
Really because this website was being edited.
I can't believe how little there is on Rayman 3 (GBA), and since that just so happens to be a favourite of mine, I'm going to help continue that section. Also, I'll make a Shells page.

That would be helpful! There are so many pages.StaceyW wrote:I added a "things to do" section on that which will list our top priorities on the wiki, eg. doing all the Rayman 2 levels. Just gotta pick a colour, make a few more templates and that should be kinda ready.

At 0:06, 0:11, 0:18, 0:22 and 0:24 in this video, there are rotating 3D models of the General, a grasshopper-like character, an early pink henchman, a flying robot dinosaur and a walking robot dinosaur, respectively. Could someone turn these into animated GIFs for the wiki? That would be fairly epic.
Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
The General is funny, I was really confused when I first saw him being that he was limbless.
Nice find.
Nice find.

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
On an unrelated note, what's the official name of the female Globox in Rayman Rush? Is it 'Globette' or 'Globbette'?
Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
Yeah I noticed you deleated that- I would find out now since I've got the game, but my PS2 doesn't read PS1 memory cards. ^^

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
I redirected 'Globette' to 'Globbette', only because the 'Globbette' article had more content, so I assumed that it was made by someone who knew just what they were talking about. Confirmation one way or the other would be good, though.

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
Foultz made a new version of the Game infobox which I think is better, and I'm wondering if we can use it for the character infobox as well.

Sure, but I'd suggest a thinner border though.
Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
I think I might have to go back and redo the background image, because the current gradient isn't matching up with the background color. Does it support transparency? (.png files)

I think the Mr Sax, Mr Stone, Mr Skops and Mr Dark pages should be changed to Mister Sax, Mister Stone, Mister Skops and Mister Dark. The R1 manual uses the term "Mister", meaning that "Mr" is just an abbreviation. And we're not meant to use abbreviations in article names.

In the game, they use the abbreviation though, and I would tend to privilege the game.

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
The text at the top of the Blue Mountains article calls the boss "Mister Stone", but I believe that's from a manual as well. Same for Band Land and Mister Sax. It should be noted that this is the only time we see the bosses referred to by their names, as opposed to seeing their names as part of a level name.
~RayWiki has "Dream Forest", "Blue Mountains" and "The Caves of Skops" pages. Something seems to be wrong here. My copy of R1 definitely calls the first world "The Dream Forest", and I have a strong inclination that the third world should be called "The Blue Mountains". The phrase 'Rayman went to Band Land' makes perfect sense, but saying 'Rayman went to Blue Mountains' just sounds caveman-like.

To be honest, I'd rather keep the names with the abbreviations, but we can set up a poll, since your point makes perfect sense as well.spiraldoor wrote:The text at the top of the Blue Mountains article calls the boss "Mister Stone", but I believe that's from a manual as well. In my version, those worlds are called Dream Forest and Blue Mountains. Of course, you have to add an article while referring to the latter in a paragraph, but “He lives in Dream Forest” is quite correct in my opinion. What version of the original game do you have, by the way?spiraldoor wrote:RayWiki has "Dream Forest", "Blue Mountains" and "The Caves of Skops" pages. Something seems to be wrong here. The PAL PlayStation version. Non-Platinum edition, I believe.spiraldoor wrote:In my version, those worlds are called Dream Forest and Blue Mountains. The phrases “He lives in Dream Forest” and “He lives in the Dream Forest” both make sense.
The phrase “He goes to Blue Mountains” does not make sense; “He goes to the Blue Mountains” does.
“He goes to Caves of Skops” doesn't make sense; “He goes to the Caves of Skops” makes sense (RayWiki agrees).
Just because your version omits the 'The' of 'The Dream Forest' doesn't necessarily confirm that there shouldn' be one.

Yeah, go ahead.spiraldoor wrote:Sure...will I start it?
Sure. Once again we should privilege the oldest or the most common reference. Maybe we could start going through all of the versions to check it out.spiraldoor wrote:Just because your version omits the 'The' of 'The Dream Forest' doesn't necessarily confirm that there shouldn' be one.

I believe that the PSX PAL version was the best-selling UK PSX game of all time. Then again, that's from Wikipedia.

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
Rayman Advance calls it "The Dream Forest". The Jaguar version calls it "Dream Forest", though that doesn't preclude its full name from being "The Dream Forest".
Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
I've just been reading some Wiki pages and noticed the articles for some Hoodlums are just atrocious. Honestly, it looks like a child wrote those (in fact, a child probably did write those)... some of the information is vague and incorrect too. I'll change them as soon as I have more time on my hands.
