Well, maybe Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged.
But besides that, I think most of us have outgrown the whole "epic (episode spanning) childrens card game" thing.

Nintedno? Nintendo
I don't get it.
Yu-Gi-Oh isn't from Nintendo, it was from Konami.

The spelling mistake was intentional, take a look at Raymanarenaps2's sig.Master4lyf1 wrote:Nintedno? Nintendo

Eh, this topic hasn't been open for 15 minutes and already it's drawing in spelling Nazis.
I suggest it should be locked.

I play Yugioh. I run a Karakuri deck, it's quite effective at swarming the field.
My games are rarely episode length, that's for sure...

Why lock this topic if some people are interested in it?
Re: Offical Yu-Gi-Oh! topic
I don't think Yu-Gi-Oh has ever been a particularly dominant fad where I live. Pokemon cards were always much more popular, and cooler.

I can't even remember what kind of deck I played with, but it was probably terrible ahah.Holy Crap wrote:I play Yugioh. I run a Karakuri deck, it's quite effective at swarming the field.

Re: Offical Yu-Gi-Oh! topic
Over here, the Yu-Gi-Oh fad sort of replaced the Pokémon one for a lot of kids around 2003 to 2005. I still have loads of cards that I haven’t looked at in years stuffed away in a drawer somewhere.
Re: Offical Yu-Gi-Oh! topic
The same thing happens here, the PKMN TCG were way more popular. I still have a collection of around 600 (?) PKMN cards stored for some years. It is also sad to nowadays not met easily an opponent that knows how to play the game, I had a lot of fun when playing this with my friends and one of my cousins in my family. Good times.Xenon wrote:I don't think Yu-Gi-Oh has ever been a particularly dominant fad where I live. Pokemon cards were always much more popular, and cooler.
The most popular TCGs here were Pokémon and MAGIC, but this last one I never got into.

Yeah, I remember those days well. I recall one day some guy dumped over a thousand Pokemon cards in a river in town, and the next morning there were hundreds of people trying to fish some out for themselves! I managed to get over 50 myself

Oh my god, are you serious?Xenon wrote:Yeah, I remember those days well. I recall one day some guy dumped over a thousand Pokemon cards in a river in town, and the next morning there were hundreds of people trying to fish some out for themselves! I managed to get over 50 myself
About 300 cards were bought by myself, while the other half was actually gifted. In this second half, a small percentage of cards were won by participating in unofficial PKMN TCG tournaments, other small percentage being few cards offered by other players I've met, and the majority of the percentage was a person that knew me in the first forum I've frequented (it does not exist anymore) and since he didn't play the game anymore and was not interested in the cards he decided me to offer his entire collection and send me it by mail. He told me he knew it would be in good hands if sent to me, so he did that. I got impressed by his generosity, because some of the cards were really rare like the RARE-PROMO cards, for example this one: http://www.serebii.net/card/wizardspromos/014.shtml
