Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Alright, we all know that both games are comming in september, so tell me people your opinion about it. What game will sell better, what game is superior, do you think it was smart to delay Rayman Legends for Spetember, and you can of course add whatever you feel like it. I really wish to know people's opinion, since Rayman has superior fanbase to Sonic's and Crash Bandicoot's.

Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Aww, I haven't seen much of the Crash fanbase, and although the reputation of the Sonic fanbase is legendary, I haven't seen much of them either, so I can't dispute whether or not I agree with you.
Anyway, the GTA series, I've tried some of the games out in the past, such as San Andreas, and I think Liberty City Stories (but I'm not sure), but all in all, they haven't had much presence in my life, nor do I really feel compelled to try them, that isn't to say that I think the games are horrid, merely that they don't interest me.
As such, I'll go with Legends.

Personally, I'm looking forward to GTA V quite a bit more than I am Legends (no irrelevant pun intended). GTA IV is one of my favourite games of all time, thus proving GTA V to also be one of the most anticipated games I've ever anticipated. With Legends, well, I'm not really expecting very much. I do think that it has the ability to bring me on an amazingly creative adventure, but given its track-record and the 'eh' style of Origins, I'm not really sure what I'm in for.
GTA V it is for me.
Do you want to add in a poll?

Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Well I can't judge too much since I have not played much Grand Theft Auto- Rayman is more for me, and I already have Legends pre-ordered. So in this case, Rayman Legends.
Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Both for me, cant really choose. Both gonna be masterpieces in their own unique ways.
Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Rayman Legends, of course. I'll be honest and say I never enjoyed the GTA franchise, but tastes are tastes.

Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
To be fair I think GTA is hilarious to play when bored, just roaming around the city, causing ultimate mayhem and doing whatever. The story I've never cared too much for, maybe because I never gave it a try, haha.

Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
I personally have nothing against the GTA games (except the dialogs. 'fuck' and 'motherfucker', that annoyes me :/). But like others I prefer Rayman (not because Rayman Legends will be cheaper! I don't mind the money.)

I think I'm the only one ever that dislikes GTA... I think it's really boring (most sandbox-ish games bore me after 10 minutes) so I'll go with Legends
Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Same. I play it like 2 times in a moth when I am bored and when I want to have fun stealing cars and using game cheats. Other than that, I hardly do missions.Haruka wrote:Rayman Legends, of course. I'll be honest and say I never enjoyed the GTA franchise, but tastes are tastes.

I used to only mess around in GTA as a kid, but when I got GTA IV I played the story and loved the dynamic characters and narrative. Now with GTA V on the horizon im really looking forward to the story focusing on 3 characters, probably more so than the messing around aspect though it looks like it will be amazing in this entry.

Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
I freaking love GTA 2. It's bloody hilarious and what with the still somewhat active community facilitating a working map editor, it's grand. From GTA III onwards, the series doesn't interest me as much. I own III and have played others briefly, and although the series has its hilarious moments in every game, it's never delivered me the tons of fun GTA 2 has.
I love every Rayman game down to its very core - even 3, and that may surprise some as I seem to bash it so much - because ultimately I love the character and what they've done with him in every game. The turn he made with the Rabbids, well, that too had its fun moments, but I won't delve to deep into those games, from sheer unknowledge and uncare (don't mind the Newspeak). Origins was a great revival for me, even though I would've much rather had the game it was looking to be in the original trailer. I hope Legends continues the series' new MO, but in an even more creative way. That is what sets Rayman apart from most series I know - the creativity in all games is so unique, that each game on its own could have spawned a whole franchise, really.
For me: Legends.

Did you vote? It seems I'm still the sole traitor here according to the poll.Bzzit wrote:I used to only mess around in GTA as a kid, but when I got GTA IV I played the story and loved the dynamic characters and narrative. Im split 50/50 so I don't wanna vote, but I admire your bravery and reason for voting GTAAdsolution wrote:Did you vote? Yeah, he gave his reasons for voting GTA 5 and because of that, I respect him more then ever. Unlike some people I know from fanbases like Sonic or Crash, he gave his honest thoughts and opinion about GTA 5 and Rayman Legends. I really wish more people were like him

If I may be so bold, may I inquire as to what it is exactly that makes you dislike the Crash and Sonic fanbases?

I'm not really sure why, but in the Rayman fanbase, fanboys really don't exist, and when they do, they're scarce and furthermore heavily looked down upon; it's the same thing with the Zelda fanbase. Crash and Sonic tend to have a lot more of a fanboy following, and not that I have any good idea as to why that is, my guess would be that one of the contributing factors is the very depth-less atmospheres and moods in the games (as in, they're generally more random, brightly coloured and LALALALA).Master4lyf1 wrote:If I may be so bold, may I inquire as to what it is exactly that makes you dislike the Crash and Sonic fanbases?
Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
I have always found the lack of fanboys in the Rayman fanbase surprising. And yes, series like Mario, Crash, and Sonic do seem to have the most of a fanboy following. Back on topic, I would have to say Rayman Legends would be my preference, not that GTA 5 is bad though. It is just that I've never played and have no interest in playing a GTA game. Mind also, I am only 14 years old.
Re: Rayman Legends VS GTA 5
Well, that is a long story but I will try to make it short as possible. I dislike Crash Bandiccot fanbase because majority of people started "crying a river" when Crash of The Titans came. They started disliking game because of different character design and new gameplay additions. But when somebody says they like something else better then older Crash games, they become fanboys. They were boycotting last two Crash games and because of that, no new Crash game was made since 2008 (not counting mobile games). But they are blind to see that its their fault for everything that happened. Thankfully there are inteligent people in Crash Fanbase but sadly there is much more annoying fanboys.Master4lyf1 wrote:If I may be so bold, may I inquire as to what it is exactly that makes you dislike the Crash and Sonic fanbases?
Sonic has very similar case. There is constantly war between 2 sides. Side that prefers Classic Sonic and side that prefers Modern Sonic. They insult and call each other either Modern Morans, and Classic Fa**ots. I am just sick of that. There are thankfully some inteligent people there but why would I even want to be in fanbases like Crash and Sonic where some people always fight? I just left them and I need to find some peace. This place seems really good. So far I like it here very much
