The β version of WikiRayman is available!

We are pleased to announce that the β version of WikiRayman is now available.
This collaborative encyclopedia based on a famous wiki system will change many things for our great community. Not only will it allow us to build the largest Rayman database ever created, but WikiRayman also announces the evolution towards a new Pirate-Community, more available, more collaborative, and supplying many services, which we'll talk about soon.
So, we count on you to concretize the WikiRayman project!

Very nice idea to include this! I'm filling in as many of the wanted pages as I can right now, which could still do with some work [like pictures, which I'll upload when required], but I'll be pouring in all my knowledge about Rayman while I'm at it. Hopefully this would work better than the Wikipedia articles.

Wow, you've really done a great job! I'll add other articles too
However, I noticed a small mistake: those who have played Rayman Revolution know that the first mosquito you fight in the Anguish Lagoon is called Bzzit, and isn't Moskito You can see him in the Woods of Light, and he takes you to the Lost Island, where you find the Sanctuary of Water and Ice.
Another common mistake is confusing Jano and Eig, while the second one is only seen in Rayman Revolution too.
Anyway, I'm more than pleased to see how much you know about Rayman You clearly amaze me!

Thank you. I guess it pays to actually remember all of this, 8 years is an awfully long time.

I'm aware of Bzzit, but somehow I always thought he was a different Moskito despite sharing the same appearance. And cheers for correcting the Ly article name, I was gonna ask if it was to be moved. I was also trying to make my writing as neutral as I could, like in a real Wiki, rather than saying "____ is the worst of the series".

Glad you appreciate my work Hunchman. I'll be keeping that up, that's for sure.

It's not always so easy to make neutral articles. For instance, it's true and pertinent to say that Rabbid games are rejected by a part of the community, but Rabbid fans might feel offended.

Tonight I'm gonna scan in a bunch of game covers, all European, to be used for the game related articles. You reckon we could have a template like the characters one that can hold a cover and have all the details about the game it's about?

Are gallerys OK to have too if we gather loads of pics of one character for example?

Well, I'm not H801, so wait for his post, but I am sure it is possible.

System is now very good, but can you say me two things:
1.Can I create category, and if yes, how?
2.Can you insert pictures with text Log In and similar instead of the letters what are hardly visible in the background?
(Youknow, example black rectangle, filled white with blue letters. That is example.)

You can easily create a template by copying the character one. However, I can do it if you want. And feel free to upload pictures if you think they're useful.
Categories can be created by typing Category:Name and editing the page. Also, we still have to work a bit on the design, and I'll also change colours.

A picture gallery would be sweet for fan artists looking for reference etc.. Not that it's hard finding screenshots all over the place, but still. I know I've spent several hours collecting pictures of a character from all sides.

I've made a template for the games now - https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Template:Game. It's basically a copy of the Characters one but with different words, but I'll look into the code for templates and see if I can make different looking ones. Feel free to copy it into the French version.

I've been really busy as well, which is the reason why I have hardly been on lately. But I should be here for a while now.

Right, I'm in the process of uploading screenshots I've been taking of all the PSOne games I have. For some reason this has become one of many things I can only do round my grandad's [can't seem to run ePSXe at home ], and I'll have to take breaks at some points because this PC seems to slow down after a while. As for the PS2 games, I'll probably have to take screens of them from VHS rips, which I may have to record or re-record if I can't find what I have. Either way, hope to build up a massive collection.

Someone doesn't seem to know how to use pictures. I'd tell them but it's an anonymous guest and whenever I make a page that has a "." in it I end up making a 404 page. Do you think we should at least have a link to MediaWiki's help page for others to learn how to use wikis?

Also, kudos to Dreyfus2006 for making really neat looking articles so far. He seems to do the writing a lot better than I can.
