The floating present is an object found in the Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn and Atari Jaguar versions of the original Rayman game.
It appears as an enormous present-shaped object that can be seen on the map of the valley. No reason is ever given for its presence, and it appears merely as a decoration on the world map screen.
In an early Japanese demo for the PlayStation from December 9 1994, a point is present on the giant, floating present, indicating that it was probably meant to be accessible at some point during the development of the game. Even though the cursor can be moved to that point, the corresponding location cannot be accessed in that demo.
