According to lots of friends of mine : Organ isn't good because it's featured in a lot of horror movies and therefore the instrument is creepy.

Me neither. For context, the parish priest saw me playing a classical piece on the piano at my secondary school graduation, and drafted me in to play the organ, and otherwise I've never been formally trained. So I stick with the manuals and I can already get a decent sound out of it that way, which people seem to like

In fact, yesterday was exactly eleven years, day and date, since I first played with the choir on Easter Sunday…

What an incredible story. It's so curious how one day you can just learn something like that about a person.

Yeah of course the pipe organ can be creepy, but that’s only if you’re playing dissonant chords, like with any instrument. If we start playing major key stuff, I’m sure it won’t sound creepy.

I'd describe that sound more as haunting that creepy anyway, as it has its own beauty.

Pipe organs can also be freaking awesome. Dude, those are still one of the most impressive instruments around, especially the sheer size of those things. I know it's not the same experience, but I definitely don't mind hearing a good solid pipe organ bass line playing in some songs on my home theater system.

There are a lot of instruments like that I never got to play, but I agree organs in general are cool, including the ones that keep us alive.

Jokes aside though, I'd love to have other instruments like that. I mostly only had keyboards, and even only played an actual piano a handful of times. Aside from that, just stuff like guitar, bass, and banjo. Of course, the time I jokingly bought a plastic ukulele too.
