Head platform

Head platforms are a range of similar-looking platforms with facial features that appear in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman. They come in four types, with two distinct behaviors.

The first two types appear in Spellbound Forest, Rainy Forest and Ancient Forest. There is a regular type and a falling type. The regular type can be static, move laterally or horizontally on its own, or upon Rayman landing on it. When jumped on, their eyes widen temporarily. The falling type does not feature any particular animation and simply falls down when Rayman lands on it, making it crucial to quickly jump somewhere else, lest him fall to his death.

The other two types appear in Arcane Forest and Dark Legacy. There is also a regular and a falling type, which behave identically to their previously encountered counterparts but are both slimmer in appearance. The regular type, upon being jumped on, temporarily closes its eyes.
