Hello everyone;

I’m noticing that this article is marked as a stub. However, I see it’s quite extensive. - Fifo

Hi there. That's because some subsections aren't completed. I will complete some of them. ;) -Harpic fraîcheur (talk) 08:24, 26 July 2015 (CEST)
Nice work! Keep it up! :) --Fifo (talk) 10:21, 26 July 2015 (CEST)
Stubs tend to be pages which are rather bare, mind you. Perhaps this template is more suitable? --Sig5 2TEST.png 19:45, 26 July 2015 (CEST)
Ah I forgot about this template. This template should probably be better. -Harpic fraîcheur (talk) 19:59, 26 July 2015 (CEST)

Baby Globoxes

I added a few of the quotes from Globox Village. I wasn't sure whether to leave those spaces before the exclamation marks or question marks, but I just left the spaces there for now, as that's the way they're written in the game. Another thing is that Hardrox doesn't seem to have any quotes in the Dreamcast version as far as I can tell, I'll need to find out if he has any in Revolution. --Steo sig.png 20:45, 13 September 2019 (CEST)

I've been playing a bit of Rayman Revolution, and I've noticed that there are many differences in the quotes. I have two questions regarding the quotes. Firstly, should the Revolution quotes be merged into this article under their corresponding character (instead of making a new article for them)? Secondly, should we go by the subtitles, or by what the characters actually say, since there's many inconsistencies between both? --Steo sig.png 00:48, 16 September 2019 (CEST)

Personally I'd prefer it to somehow be split between the different versions. it's rather confusing having the original, PS1 and PS1 quotes mixed together as they all have slightly different story lines. I'm not sure how the best approach would be, if it'd be to make separate articles (like "List of quotes in Rayman 2 (PlayStation)") or different sections within this one.
As for the inconsistencies, I assume the subtitles would be best since I'm assuming they were updated after the voice over had been done. But perhaps both should be kept? I'm not sure on this one. --Carrot signature.png 09:37, 16 September 2019 (CEST)
The French page separates the different versions with sections:
It makes a long page, for sure. Maybe you're right, it would be better to have three pages, for original, PS1 and PS2 versions.
For PS1 and PS2, I used the voices to wrote the quotes. I don't remember if there were inconsistencies in the French subtitles... --Boomboleros7 21:40, 16 September 2019 (CEST)
They're usually little inconsistencies, but they're still different. I have a couple of examples here from when I was at Globox's House:
One of Globox's quotes:
By the way, the Teensies found little cave in well. You should go and see. - Subtitles
By the way, the little ones found little cave in well. You should go and see. - Globox
One of Uglette's quotes:
Oh, Rayman! You've freed my Globox. Thank you! Thank you! - Subtitles
Rayman! You've freed my Globox. Thank you! - Uglette
If I was to use Globox's actual quote, I'd link little ones like this to avoid confusion, as little ones sounds like he's talking about his kids. Same with any other similar quotes. --Steo sig.png 22:18, 16 September 2019 (CEST)
Funny, "By the way, the little ones found little cave in well. You should go and see." and "Oh, Rayman! You've freed my Globox. Thank you! Thank you!" are the exact translation of the French voices and subtitles.
In the French version, Globox clearly says that his kids found a cave in the well, which makes sense since it's the well of their house and one of them wants to return inside with Rayman to help him to access to Whale Bay. --Boomboleros7 03:14, 17 September 2019 (CEST)
I did think that made more sense, since all the kids are there playing football. So that means that the subtitles mentioning the Teensies is likely a mistake, I guess going by the actual voices makes more sense then lol. --Steo sig.png 03:23, 17 September 2019 (CEST)
While it certainly makes for a (very) long page, I like having all versions together as it makes it easier to spot the differences. —RRRGBAIcon8.pngRRRGBAIcon0.gifRRRGBAIcon1.png 15:46, 17 September 2019 (CEST)
I'd consider level 3 headings under each character titled original, PlayStation 1, and Revolution, but it would take a long time and it would probably be a bit much.--Steo sig.png 13:54, 20 September 2019 (CEST)
