In a scene of clouds and sheet music, Rayman proceeds among music instruments (drums, maracas, cymbals...) and battles against wrong notes. After having escaped from the trumpets, he will find himself face to face with the deafening Mister Sax...

The very first scenery of Band Land

Band Land is the second world in the game Rayman. It consists of a world made up of musical instruments and is set high in the sky, as its name suggests. As Rayman makes progress through giant drums, flutes and xylophones, he must dodge wrong notes and spiky balls. Note that in the Rayman Junior games, a tiny version of those notes also exists. In this imaginary world, it is also possible to slide on musical staves, but one must be careful not to fall from the heights of this place. Fortunately, bongos are sometimes here to avoid a deadly fall. There are a lot of clouds and lightnings, and it is also known to snow here. As Maracas rockets can be used to fly, walking drums help Rayman to reach inaccessible places by rebounding on them. There are also strange sprinklers onto which Rayman can jump.

The big boss of Band Land, Mr Sax

The enemies in Band Land include antitoons, hunters, moths, trumpets, lightning eyes, wrong notes, cymbals and red monsters. The boss is Mr Sax, a giant saxophone. Rayman will meet him in Allegro Presto, and fight him after a frantic chase in Mr Sax's Hullaballoo.

During his trek in Band Land, Rayman will receive the power of the Helicopter from Betilla the Fairy, at the end of Allegro Presto.
