A cannon is one of the unmovable, time-based obstacles that appears only in Rayman Rush. It shoots cannonballs in players general direction. Getting hit by a cannonball makes player's character stunned and slowed down for a few seconds.

Description

This obstacle exclusive to Rayman Rush appears in two racing tracks: Thousand Waterfalls (2) and Pipe Maze (3). In the first one, cannons replace a pollen spitting flower present in Rayman M and piranhas appearing in Rayman Arena. They shoot stun-causing cannonballs at regular intervals. It is possible to jump on them or over them.

Cannons bear a similar appearance to the little cannons placed on top of Barrel Pirates. They have a long purplish metal barrel decorated with golden ornaments and are held by a thin stand.

Trivia

• Two cannons were featured in the Lava Factory in Rayman M at some point of the development of the game.
• The layout of Pipe Maze in Rayman M suggests that cannons could have been planned to appear right after the first slide section, in the big lava room. The path on the left is very similar to exact same place in Rayman Rush, but much more empty.
