Phantom Returns

"Phantom Returns" is the name of the song sung by the Phantom in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is available in six different languages and an instrumental version in the album Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: Roasting Rayman by Grant Kirkhope.[1]

Act 1 - Overture

The Phantom sings this act before the Spectral Swing battle, roasting Rayman and highlighting how he's been overshadowed by the Rabbids in recent years.

The lyrics are as follows:

Rayman is a gangly goofy brainless hopeless eggplant!

Act 3 - The Roast

The Phantom sings this track after the Burnin' Rock battle. This song insults the other heroes, primarily Beep-0, and after the song, the battle Operatic Showdown begins.

The lyrics are as follows:

Beep-0... My old pal, so to say

Spare me your insight 'cause you're never ever right!
You'd be keener to be a vacuum cleaner
You truly look like one, you talk and kill the fun
Heroes? You're copycats, you're zeroes!

Trivia

  • While the song has a first and third act, it is lacking a second. This may be a reference to the Phantom’s first appearance in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, in which his song, “Phantom of the Bwahpera”, also has this strange distinction. It is unknown why his song had no second act, however an unused second act of Kingdom Battle's song does exist.
