The Soldier is a ground-based
Hoodlum who spends all his time walking. An expert in camouflage, he wears a purple outfit to hide his varicose veins.
The Hoodmonger Soldier, also known as an Artilleryman or a Hoodstyler,[2] is a type of Hoodlum enemy found in Rayman 3 and Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge. Like regular Hoodmongers, these Hoodlums take three punches to defeat. However, they fire a different type of shot from their weapons; whereas Hoodmongers shoot small spheres, the Soldiers shoot three arrows at once, all of which are faster than the Hoodmongers' shots and all of which follow the same trajectory. Hoodmonger Soldiers are often found alone, but in Clearleaf Stadium they can be found in a small army, which attempts to defeat Rayman (who is riding Master Kaag's stomping machine) before he can reach the first doctor's office. Oddly enough, they appear to have massive targets on their right shoulders. Notably, the Horrible Machine disperses Soldiers, two at a time.
In Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge, Hoodmonger Soldiers reappear as the basic Hoodlum enemies. While their appearance and their resistance remain unchanged, they fire solid bullets instead of energy arrows.
