Caterpillars are creatures in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends. They are mostly blue-green but few are purple.
In Rayman Origins
Caterpillars only appear in Climb Out from Ticklish Temples. The blue-green caterpillars extend themselves out of holes in the grassy walls, allowing the heroes to reach inaccessible platforms. The purple caterpillars retreat when the players get too close.
