Dashing Thru the Snow
Dashing Thru the Snow is the second level of Gourmand Land, the third world in Rayman Origins. This level is similar to all of the others in the Miami Ice area. It is the first level from this world and seventeenth overall that is included in the Back to Origins painting in Rayman Legends, where its name is slightly altered to Dashing Through the Snow.

Area 1
The heroes begin in a quiet area on icy platforms next to a moving heart bottle. The first Skull Coin is located on the left from the starting point, hidden behind a narrow tunnel. The heroes must be shrunken in order to obtain it; the fastest way to do so is by sliding under the first block of ice before the first watermelon half, then returning to the start and going through the tunnel to claim the coin. The heroes soon encounter some bodies of red water infested with baby piranhas. The smaller platforms in the water will begin to sink from the heroes' weight: if they stay on the same platform for too long, it begins to sink into the dangerous water. Eventually, they will confront a new enemy: a fire-breathing Baby Dragon Waiter on skates. If he spots the heroes, he will breathe fire, meaning their best approach is to attack him from behind. The exit can be found not far from here.
-
Obtaining the first Skull Coin requires the heroes to be shrunken.
-
The red water can be fatal to the heroes.
-
The heroes cannot bubblize enemies by jumping on top of them when they are shrunk; they need to perform a crush attack.
Area 2
The heroes will need to proceed carefully, while avoiding more water infested with baby piranhas. The second Skull Coin of the level is found on top of an icy platform that will collapse if the heroes perform a wall jump against it. Afterwards, the heroes can jump on a purple Al Tranquilo, which will spit out a bubble; they can use the bubble as a platform to cross the dangerous water, but they will need to be careful when maneuvering it, as spiky oranges are attached to the icy platforms above. The first secret area can be found by using the bubble to reach an icy platform above at the end of the area. Once the Electoons are saved, the heroes can proceed to the exit.

The second Skull Coin of the level.
-
The bubble will assist the heroes in crossing the area.
Relic 1

As soon as the heroes enter this area, the first relic can be found. It is located inside an icy platform, just to the right of a Palmito.
Secret area 1
For this secret area, the heroes will need to ride on giant mosquitoes to reach the cage. They will need to shoot blocks of ice and avoid blue spiky fish throughout this area. Once the heroes reach the area where the cage is, they will need to shoot the blocks of ice to defeat the sleeping Psychlops. Then, they can dismount their giant mosquitoes and break the cage.

Area 3
As the heroes enter this area, there will be a passage located amid some spiky oranges. This passage leads them to a funnel, which will enlarge them to their original size. The third Skull Coin of the level can be collected by quickly destroying blocks of ice, while avoiding tin cans that could potentially crush them. The heroes can now use another funnel, which will both shrink them and propel them to the exit.

These umbrellas function like a platform.
-
Orange umbrellas will close and then open back up.
Relic 2

The second relic can be found near the stack of ice blocks; it is located inside a small, blue tin can to the upper right of them.
Area 4
In this area, the heroes will meet another couple of purple Al Tranquilo; they will need to use more bubbles to avoid spiky fish and safely cross the water. The fourth Skull Coin of the level can be found between two rotating spiky fish. The fifth Skull Coin can be retrieved by either using the bubbles to reach an icy platform above or performing wall jumps to reach a higher platform if the heroes are no longer standing on bubbles. The sixth Skull Coin can be found by dropping down and gliding past the water infested with baby piranhas, while avoiding green spiky fish. The heroes can use a funnel to grow back to their original size, then defeat two Baby Dragon Waiters and proceed to the exit.

The fifth Skull Coin.
Relic 3

The third relic can be found in this area, just below an icy platform. It is situated at the top of a spiky orange.
Area 5

The heroes will need to perform crush attacks on small blocks of ice to go down towards the exit. Some blocks of ice contain frozen Lums. As the heroes continue downwards, they will eventually fall and grab onto a Swingman. The second secret area is to the left, and the exit is to the right.
Secret area 2

First, the heroes must advance to the right side of the area by bouncing on the sleeping Psychlops, where they will enlarge to their original size; they can now defeat the Psychlops on their way back to the Electoon cage, meaning they will be able to break it.
Area 6

The heroes can break the ice blocks the Baby Dragon Waiters are skating on to make them easier to defeat. Once they have been defeated, the cage can be broken; the heroes will then pose on the photoboard as the Magician waits to see how many Lums the heroes have collected throughout the level.
